(Premier League 2022/2023): Highlights Brighton - Liverpool

We don't want that today. So it's Liverpool who get the ball rolling. Brighton looking for their first ever home win over Liverpool at this level. Had to stretch to get the cross in. There's McAllister. We know he can blast them from there. Gross. Inside the 18-yard box and he just slotted it into the empty net. Beautifully done by Lallana. Here's a chance for Solih March. It goes down and it's a penalty. I think they'll certainly get looked at whether or not this is offside. I think it is. My initial instinct was that Solih March was just crept offside. Well, they started by checking to see if it was a foul. Now they're seeing if it's offside. This is offside. No penalty. March was clearly half a yard offside as that replay proved. How well has he adapted? Honestly, he's just come into the team and like you say, absolutely fearless in terms of the stage that he's playing on and what he brings to the team. McAllister. It's played forward to Matoma. A chance and a goal. Solih March celebrates. A bad mistake from Matip. Ferguson's pressure forced the error. With just a minute gone in the second half, Brighton have the lead. They did lose here to Aston Villa after scoring the opening goal. And of course they scored first at Anfield, didn't they? And had to settle for a draw. Ferguson. Wonderful ball to March. He's in again. Better than that. Brighton ruthless. Liverpool toothless. Allison. Absolutely nowhere near it. What a goal, Solih March. It was only going to get better. 20 years of age. Oh, Welbeck could be in here. He could be in here for the season. It's been a long time coming. This is one that seals victory over Liverpool. Story for Danny Welbeck. Coming on as sub, getting his goal, but this is just awful defending from Liverpool. It's embarrassing really. All it is is a flick on. They're totally static. Nobody dealing with the ball. It's a good touch from Welbeck, just to get the right amount of touch on that. And the finish, lovely technique. But Liverpool today, they just haven't been at the races. And Brighton, well... Estepinhan. Caicedo. Brilliantly done from Sarmiento. Oh, Allison has to make the save. Pulls out to that back post area for a tap-in. A huge roar that tells you that Brighton have beaten Liverpool in a top-flight, home league game for the very first time in their history.
