Shopping For Houseplants At Lowes || Planning My Garden || Plant Haul || Weekly Vlog
I lost most of the footage that I had vlogged for this week but since I needed to go to Lowes Home Improvement for some more Neem oil I figured I would bring everyone along and do a " Follow me around " type video to check out what they have in stock in the garden center. I was surprised to find such a great selection so early in the year. They had Monstera deliciosa in with the houseplants and tons gorgeous ferns! I was torn between what to get as far as the houseplants go. They had so many plants, Philodendron, Pothos, Peperomia, Bromeliads, Cactus & Succulents, Sanseveria, Crotons and so many more! The ferns were really catching my eyes. Large and lush foxtail ferns mixed in with boston ferns and kimberly queen ferns were a sight to see! My heart always falls for the Macho Ferns so that is what I ended up getting. I also grabbed some small variegated Hostas, one with amazing rare and unusual variegation as well as a cute little daisy.
I also picked up some cool season plants for other projects at a different nursery. Variegated sweet flag, lamium, pansies, hellebore ( helleborus ) and a great little evergreen to use for bonsai.
Lastly I did a small garden tour and plant chat showing what is emerging, like my crinum lilies and canna lllies, oh and my ginger / ginger lilies. Talked about my cold hardy palm trees ( windmill palms and mule palms ) and this years garden plans such as maybe planting a hedge of bamboo? Overall i'm thrilled with the excellent houseplants I managed to get from Lowes and I look forward to getting my plants outside and my garden going! ... The plant haul in videos were very informal, I'm sorry for that but time was running out because of the weather moving in.
