Qingdao's elderly protest health insurance changes (March 7)

On March 7, masses of retirees took to the streets of Qingdao to protest health benefits cuts. They held parades and chanted slogans. This was the third major city where protests broke out against health care reform, following Wuhan and Dalian. Qingdao authorities sent police to so-called maintain stability. Clashes flared up between the two sides.
