Ever since I took my very first trip to the Pacific Northwest,
Oregon has been one of my absolute favorite states in the US.
From the mountains, to the forest, to the rocky coastline,
this state has more diversity than just about anywhere else in the nation.
Last summer, my friend Graham and I set off to explore some hidden gems
tucked away in the forest of western Oregon.
Alright, so I'm here with Graham Cracker right here.
That's me.
I guess that's the first time I've said that, but that's his nickname now.
We're on our way to our first little fall hilt here in the Willamette Valley.
I love this area just because it's so like mossy and green and nice.
So rad.
I just love it.
Fern gully.
Yeah.
These influencer kids, man.
I don't even know what's going on in their mind.
TikTok nation.
I hear a waterfall.
So what I'm using for this is my Rokinon 14mm f2.8.
The problem with that is I don't have any ND filters that fit the Rokinon
and it's bright enough that I really need to do a long exposure to get that nice sauce.
So what I'm doing is I'm taking one of my other ND filters for my 82mm thread.
I'm just gonna on the screen like have it exposed and then put it over just the water part
and then I can get that saucy water going in the areas I need it
and then I'll be able to
take my main shot and then blend in those areas I made using the ND filter thing
and then we can make a nice little Photoshop river thing and it'll be great.
For our next adventure, we're going to a hot spring in the jungle.
Yeah, and he looks like a dad who just got out of the shower and I look like a Jedi master.
Wow, you made yourself way cooler than me.
So we're here at the hot spring. It looks like a goblin cave.
Goblin cave.
The spooky goblin in the goblin cave.
This is such a sick little hot spring.
Yeah, you know, I wasn't expecting to see an actual goblin in the goblin cave but
I thought it was incredible. I would highly recommend David's Goblin Cave Adventures.
Definitely bringing the wife and kids next time because they're going to love it.
I can't believe we have this one all to ourselves. This is so nice right now, just chilling.
Oh, the goblin's getting him!
And the other thing I really like about this is that it's right next to a river.
It kind of reminds me of the one in Jackson.
How far back does it go in here?
David, get out of my shot. I'm influencing.
So I just learned that Graham has this giant polar bear suit in his car,
so we are 100% going to just go do some shenanigans with that while we wait for some friends.
Yeah, to be honest I never knew, like someone just gave it to me as a gift recently,
I never knew when I'd be able to use it because it's perfect for you.
And then David showed up.
Yeah.
It's a standard stroll for me. I do this every day.
Excuse me sir, could you give me directions to the North Pole?
Rawr.
I'm a rawr.
All right, so now we're going to the gas station to go stock up on food for the day.
We're here at the blue sky market.
Hey David, you got any white claws?
No, but I got black ones.
Excuse me ma'am, but do you have any Klondike bars here?
I do not.
Oh man.
So we are currently en route to the blue pool.
No one's ever heard of it. As you can see, there's no one here.
There's definitely not 78 cars in a row.
Nobody knows about this thing. Super, we're the only ones really.
Oh man, up here we're about to find something that's gonna be the last thing you'll expect
to see in the ground.
We're going in.
Oh my gosh, it's seriously like a huge underground cave.
All right, so we're gonna hide down this pit and then we're just gonna yell and see if
unsuspecting tourists on the trail will want to come see what's happening.
We set up a GoPro right here to capture all the action going on back there.
So let's do this.
Come over here, come to my dungeon.
Help me, come over here, come to my dungeon.
I've been down here since 1726.
No, that's not what's happening actually.
Hello, did you come to save us?
That's awesome, how'd you guys get in there?
Like, oh man, Scoob, we're lost in the spooky cave.
Like, how are we gonna get out of here, man?
I hope someone comes and saves us.
We're the cave goblins.
Like, what's up, man?
We're just shagging Scoob stuck in a cave.
All right, we have spent plenty of time down here in the goblin cave.
It is definitely time to get out.
I'm sure it's like a new day at this point.
Do we sleep down there?
Now we're about to hit the blue pool.
We're almost there.
So yeah, it should be awesome sauce.
Wait, so you heard us in the cave?
Yeah, I just stopped and then all of a sudden I heard voices.
And I was like, I swear those were human voices.
All right, let's go.
So we now have Melissa right here.
She's from Colorado.
And then we have Jonah and he's from the Portland area and he's gonna send it hard.
Oh, he's the best boy at the blue pool.
Then I swam across the blue pool because I'm an idiot.
So that was super cold.
I about died halfway through it.
But we had all these cheerleaders cheering me on.
So yeah, that's what got me through.
That's the only thing.
About to go take a dip in the sauce off the big nasty right here.
Let's do it.
All right.
How was it?
Big man.
Felt good though.
Right on.
The water is just so cold.
It literally like burns your skin.
I don't know how you swam across without a wetsuit.
You are literally the biggest savage.
Seriously, like, yeah, those jumps were gnarly.
Because I'm a polar bear.
Excuse me, ma'am.
But do you have any Klondike bars here?
You saw it earlier folks.
All right.
So that was an awesome time exploring the Willamette Valley.
Met some cool new homies, especially this one.
This one's my favorite.
He's the best boy in all of Oregon.
But anyways, that was awesome.
You should come hang out here and explore some stuff and send some steezy backflips off of
60 foot cliffs.
And yeah.
And do all the YouTubey stuff that the YouTubers do.
Like, add me as a friend on YouTube.
Is that what they do?
Yep.
Catch you in the next derule vlog.
Bye.
