The noble armies of Asgard, led by King Bor (Tony Curran), wage a mighty war against Dark Elves and win. However, Malekith escapes, and Aether, an ancient force of infinite destruction, can not be destroyed because its power is too great.

Thor: The Dark World is a 2013 American superhero film adapted from the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is the sequel to Thor (2011) and the eighth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This movie is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, directed by Alan Taylor, and screenplayed by Christopher Yost and the writing team. In the film, Thor and Loki (Hiddleston) teamed up to save the Nine Realms from the Dark Elves. Thor and the Mighty Avenger returned to the big screen in Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World" on November 8, 2013.
