where the weather is harsh and the winters are long But every chance I had if I wasn't out on the water I was up on the rocky slopes of Snowdonia or seeking longer more challenging ascents in the Alps But the summit was never as important as the climb itself The competition was never as important as the act of riding itself And this perspective of valuing the moment the journey the struggles and the challenges and living in the now are what allow us to truly enjoy this process of breathing new life into Melody But as spring arrived and the weather improved were able to start cutting away the bad parts of the hull One of the hardest parts was figuring out where to start with all of this There was just so much to deal with So we found that our workflow was largely dictated by the weather On good days were able to work outside On terrible rainy days we worked indoors And whatever could be repaired and saved was repaired and saved And what was beyond saving was cut off removed and discarded And then the day came when the weather had improved enough for us to start working on the steel fabrication and the repair work properly We started from the back end helped by some amazing
