Okay, I just came back from H Mart.
I'm going to be making jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk for Angel, my sister, and her boyfriend.
A lot of stuff.
So here are all the things that we'll be using to make the jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk.
Cucumbers, eggs, radish, and this is the udon and Chinese-style noodles that we'll be using.
Carrot, squash, cabbage, some pork chops.
We bought two since we'll be using it for both the jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk.
Some potatoes, bell peppers.
This is the jjajang paste.
It's the Haeoreum brand.
This is the best paste that we've tried.
We've tried other ones too, but I think this one is the best.
Oyster sauce, soy sauce,
onions with potato starch,
stock, sugar, black pepper.
So now he's going to wash all the vegetables and peel the potatoes.
So I'm Aiden's assistant for today.
So I washed the bell peppers.
And he said we don't need this so I'm just going to keep this in the refrigerator.
Cut the potato into small pieces.
He prepared it on separate plates.
So this is for the jjajangmyeon.
There's onions, squash, potato, cabbage, and then here's the plate for tangsuyuk.
The three different bell pepper colors, carrots, and onion.
And now he's cutting the pork chops.
Cabbage, this is for jjajangmyeon, right?
And now he's cutting the pork chops for both the dishes.
So now I'm going to start making jjajangmyeon first.
We cook pork chops separately in the other pan.
Two spoons of oyster sauce.
And some sugar.
So about one spoon of brown sugar.
So just taste it as you go.
And if you feel like you need to add a little bit more paste, then you can do that.
I'm going to prepare the pork.
I'm going to put six spoons of potato starch.
And then one egg.
First, after he cut up the pieces, he put a little bit of salt and black pepper on top.
Olive oil.
I love it.
It's expensive.
Eight dollars?
Eight dollars for this?
I think so.
You're making the sauce?
Pretty easy.
Tangsuyuk sauce!
Look at the colors, they're so pretty.
That is a lot of vegetables.
But that's so much.
Four spoons of soy sauce.
Four spoons of vinegar.
Three spoons of ketchup.
Two spoons of sugar.
And then the pineapple juice with some pieces of pineapple.
The potato starch.
We're going to put it in the jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk sauce because it makes it more thick.
Just mix the potato starch with some water.
So just keep adding some more until you get the thick consistency.
Too watery and it's kind of sticky.
So I'm ready with the sauce for tangsuyuk and jjajangmyeon.
Now I'm boiling water for the jjajang noodle.
And heating up the oil for the fried pork.
So he's deep frying the pork.
To make it crispy, you need to fry it two times.
So do that and once it's done, take it out and then fry it again.
So Eden fried this two times.
I'm so hungry.
Hi, Anu.
Place the tangsuyuk sauce on top of the fried pork.
Here's the radish that we're going to eat with it.
Mmm looks yummy.
Anu, be careful.
No, no.
