ARRIVAL - Low And Slow to Oshkosh 2018

All right start of day six our last and final day to Oshkosh plan is we're gonna go get the shuttle here at the Kalahari over to Dell's and then we're flying to New Holstein for the Super Cub fly-in gonna do a stoll contest or demonstration there and then over to Oshkosh. There's so many from what there was and mine's not even where I tied it down somebody moved it. Hey you little mini plane you go out there in the field. That is weird they moved a couple of our planes not mine but Scott's and Steve's my parking brake probably is on that's probably why they couldn't move it. That's why they parked an RV underneath it look at that but anyway the plan is right now we of course are flying into what is reporting IMC so we're kind of gonna get our planes ready watch the weather when things look best we're gonna go for it see how far we make it you know when it gets bad we land that's the plan. All right so we just landed on this private crop duster strip we were working our way east of here ceilings were at like 300 feet and just started pushing us down and down to where we were almost in it and actually Steve was the one that made the call he said he's going back I'm like I'm with you so all of us are cruising back we actually there's some heliocourier that landed in the middle of the runway out here. Guys if you're gonna go make an emergency landing on a runway don't park in the middle of the runway move off because maybe other people have to do the same thing but so we're landing on the taxiway which works for us but kind of rude. Right there in the trees I kind of had to give her a little extra goose. I love this this is so fun well weather sucks let's just land the airplane somewhere. That is again another reason that we fly these planes you know if we had to land anywhere we land anywhere you get pushed down by weather just keep the ground in sight if you gotta land just land that's what you do it's a it's a safe thing to do I will way take a forced landing in a field or a chosen landing in a field over flying into IMC any day of the week. Temperature's perfect out with the boys I like it. It's not even raining it's just like misting up there it's just like okay we just uh ended up talking to one of the guys from the helio courier that's in the middle of the runway and it sounds like the owner's an elderly gentleman who I think got just shooken up they got it you know into it a little deeper than they can handle and I guess he landed and he just wanted out of the plane so you know still for anyone that does that you know if you're shaky just get out of the way but it's not a huge deal I think uh this is actually pretty cool looking here I'm gonna throw the drone up let's do a little drone montage this whole getting grounded from weather's not all that bad I'm loving it good time so Cheryl has been kind enough to come give us a ride to a cafe we didn't have breakfast today because we thought we would have it at New Holstein doesn't look like we're making it to New Holstein we just looked the the briefing for the STOL demo is in 20 minutes and we're 35 minutes away from there so New Holstein's out sorry guys if anyone's at New Holstein excited for the cowboys not gonna make that so the plan is we're gonna go get coffee get some breakfast and then go into Oshkosh been that way all my life getting it back this is kind of uh a normal thing for us I guess the flying clowns on the flying cowboys I feel like a circus car every time my name is Bubba and I'm gonna eat some pancakes got sunny while we were eating perfect sure did that's nice this is good news all right we are back at the plains we got blue skies at least pop popping through in some spots up there but uh we're gonna phone into the ultralight field at Oshkosh and we're going in home stretch guys it's day six day six we're going to Oshkosh all right guys this is pretty exciting we got off the ground the weather's good we are heading directly into the ultralight field I am leading the way uh we're a flight of seven on this one I'm excited Oshkosh here we come but man I will tell you it is hectic on ADS-B looking at my map will give anyone anxiety and Trent is turning final and there it is welcome to Oshkosh 2018 whoo six days later we are here came in as pack of six or seven and even the Wilga Mike just landed on the ultralight strip which was ridiculous he even came in cut the corner and stopped by here ridiculous yeah bro oh yeah how we doing brother hey boys let's go we made it to Oshkosh oh fire him up we got to get across to our parking all right so now we are all tied down fattened down ready for everything that this week could have in store we're actually parked just behind the ultralight field which is where we end up doing our demonstration so if you're looking for the plane if you're at the ultralight field just go south of it it's kind of down by the south 40 that's where all us flying cowboys are at so that's where you'll be able to find our planes if you want to meet us make sure to come on Thursday we're doing the flying cowboys forum from 11 30 to 12 30 or something like that at form eight also I will be hanging out at the kit fox booth Tuesday and Friday from one to two so if you guys want to come out and say hi I'd love to meet you guys and yeah I think the plan is now we're gonna jump in our rental cars go back to the hotel and relax it's so nice to finally be here excited I literally have no idea what you're doing but you're doing it wrong I don't know what you're oh man hey Scott how's your exhaust runs like a champion thank you so much I can't even believe it all right guys so we just had a little pizza gathering here at the stole corral that's what they're calling this area so if you're in Oshkosh and you're looking for us we're at the stole corral just south of the ultralight field but I think we're going to wrap it up we've been pitching our props kind of setting up for tomorrow night which is the first stole demo there's 15 of us flying don't judge me too hard I am way outgunned horsepower wise I think I've got the smallest engine of the whole group like by a long shot but anyway hope you guys like this uh you know the drill like this video subscribe if you haven't come be my wingman see on the next one peace
