We are packing up for our grand adventure to Australia and Southeast Asia and New Zealand.
This is everything that we're taking, well everything that I'm taking, for our minimum
seven to eight months. I used to tease Katie for taking her pillow until she bought me this MyPillow.
Now it seems kind of big considering we've got to pack all this stuff into those little bags,
but it's too amazing to leave behind. So with the help of this little vacuum packed bag here,
it goes from this to this, which is now very easily packable. Having a comfortable pillow
really adds to the enjoyment of the trip anymore. Camera equipment. My Kindle. Waterproof flashlight.
External hard drive and a Pelican case. Flash drives. Laptop. And you need a pretty laptop case.
We're taking all of our vitamins with us. iPod. Metal writing sharpies and wet write sharpies.
And then just some regular pens. Dry bags. We always take a mask and snorkel. Got my knee brace
and an ankle brace. Two hats. Both go ducks of course. A bag of Starbucks Via. Her shoes. Merrell
Moab. Nike Air Tigers. Combat flip-flops. These are the AK-47s. My Contigo coffee mug. Prescription
Oakley sunglasses. Dive computer. Logbook pages. Everything else we're going to rent on site.
A lock with a key. Rechargeable headlamps. I always like to have a magnifying glass.
Read stuff that's really small and also if you get in an emergency you start a fire. Power block.
Photo copies of our passports. Laminated passport photos. Had those done at Costco. It was the
cheapest place we could find. Our international driver's permits. Memory foam. Eye cushion. Wet
ones. A life straw. You can stick this in pretty much any water source that's clear and suck through
it and you'll get purified water out. My famous Turkish towel. Two pairs of shorts. One pair of
jeans. One pair of cargo pants. Short sleeve shirt that's actually made out of Eddie Bauer Travex.
Lasts really well. Washes up in the sink. Hangs to dry. And then one long sleeve Travex shirt.
Another Travex long sleeve that I use for the jungle. One pair of merino wool longer socks.
Three pairs of merino wool smaller socks. For underwear ex officio boxer briefs. A couple of
dry fit shirts. If you've been watching our vlogs you've seen these for the last year. They held up
well so I'm taking them again. A beanie cap. Two of the dry fit O-shirts I had the sleeves cut off
of. One rash guard. Cuts down on having to use sunblock all the time. One pair of board shorts
which also doubles as gym shorts. A Patagonia. It's a pretty light jacket but it's down. Very
nice and warm. And then we have REI rain jacket. All that is going to go in the REI Trail 40 backpack
and our Eagle Creek Tarmac 22. And it's going to look just like this. And this is what I am
bringing. It's all going to go into those two bags right there. Some of the highlights. This
soap that I found in Mexico. Great for washing your clothes in the sink. These face pipes and
these are great to just add water. So wherever you are you can wash your face. We are old. I'm
taking fiber. This backpack it folds up into this little bag and this I can take when we go on day
hikes. One pair of jeans. A few tops. Seven dresses. Prada dresses. They're my favorite.
For shoes the one pair of walking shoes. Flats. Flip flops. I will type up a detailed list of
everything I'm taking and it'll be in the comments below. See you in Seattle. If you like our video
