Good morning guys, welcome back to my channel. I'm so sorry I haven't vlogged recently. I had
a really awful migraine that just came out of nowhere and I just literally have not been able
to get down here at all which is such a shame but I got quite lucky with the weather because we have
had two lots of quite a lot of rain so everything's had a good water so while I was at home recovering
I didn't feel like overly stressed because I knew the plot was getting some water so that's good
everything has really taken off as you can imagine everything seems really healthy
and my seedlings all got watered which is really good so they're all happy
yeah so I think today I'm going to harvest a few things I'm going to harvest the chard
some lettuce some spinach and the remaining of the rocket because that has gone to seed again
it's absolutely desperate to flower I don't know why yeah everything looks quite good nothing seems
bindweed is coming up like no tomorrow so I'm going to have to pull up some of that as well
but I think today mainly is going to be about harvesting some stuff really at last I mean that
is the point of an allotment isn't it to actually harvest stuff and there's lots of birds here today
as well so I'll see if I can capture some of those for you so yeah here we go
I only went and got a bloody bird in the bloody pond didn't I
it's the morning time morning times when they all come out I think that's the time to come
and capture them these calendulars are almost ready to flower now which is so exciting they're
going to be massive flowers I didn't realize they were such big flowers they're going to be really
big but yeah slugs and snails don't seem to have affected them too much which is excellent bloody
bindweed might though bloody bindweed look it's everywhere it's absolutely everywhere at the
moment that's the problem see you spend a few days away and the bindweed takes over if you've
got bindweed on your plot you've got to keep on top of it and literally pick it like every single
day that you see it frog house has collapsed I'm glad there were no frogs or anything in that
because they would have been crushed to death which was not the intention of the bloody frog
house was it supposed to be facilitated what's happened to this this blueberry plants died
flipping it because that died for what did I do to it nothing I guess because it's in a pot
it's just died it's just died bloody thing I wonder if that's going to come back to life or
not I doubt it it looks very dead shit however you can't win them all right tomatoes are all
alive which is excellent I mean that is the first step isn't it to keep them alive I think they are
too close together but I'll leave them for now I'm going to see if I need any of these little suckers
taken off of them I did see this on YouTube and I think I know what I'm looking for I think I know
what I'm looking for is basically where there's stem and then like this one here that's when I
anything in the middle basically I don't know actually about this one so maybe that whole one
needs to come out I don't bloody know Christ it's so much easier when you see on YouTube when you
actually come to do it nothing looks the same do you know what I mean I think so you've got a stem
this is the stem right this is the branch and this is the sucker so this is the one I take out
I think I don't know which ones to bloody take yeah I thought I did but now I'm here I don't
know they all look the same look the ******* same I've got black spots on it so I'll take all of
that out what the **** that is what those oh crap is that bad I hope they don't kill it
oh it's on the stem as well oh no what are these join me today as I massacre my tomatoes which
have been doing so well until I came and fiddled with them all and pulled out all the bloody leaves
I don't know I don't know hopefully they survived that mini massacre there's always black flies on
them now so I don't know what all these black fly things are it's like a bug for everything
isn't there it's like a tomato bug a carrot bug an onion bug why can't there just be one universal
bug that could be killed by the same method do you know what I mean why have they got to be so
complex bloody nature a bit worried about these uh pumpkins now I'm worried that they're too
squashed here I'm wondering if it's worth pulling one of them out and sacrificing one of the plants
or not because these over here these look really crowded now right now they're getting bigger they
just look like they've not got enough space I don't know what to do and that pumpkin in there
sort of shriveled and died I'm so bloody determined to get them to grow up I'm not going to give up
yet because I think they're still quite little for pumpkin plants I think I've still got a chance
so I'm still going to try and grow them up they do have like spindles on them pumpkins they want
like here um like there I don't know if you can see but it's got like spindly things
it wants to grab onto something so maybe it will grow up right I think this one really
doesn't want to grow up so this one I'm going to hang and he can like fill out over here so
he's got enough room this one seems quite happy growing up see maybe I could wrap the spindle
things up here so look hold on go this way mate keep trying though because I think they'll look
so good if they're like covering the arch I'll give it a go and also it keep the pumpkins off
the floor which is what I want so I'm going to keep going with it and see what happens I'll keep
you updated keep you updated but this is what I've just had to pick off I know I should have cut it
off so I probably killed them now anyway but yeah look that's all burnt this has got mildew on it
whatever it's called that white white stuff so is that so is that so is that and so is that
so that all had to come off
I am going to plant these sunflowers out today I think I think I might as well get them out they
look quite strong they look quite healthy I feel like they need to be in the ground now because
it is June and a lot of them are sharing pots as well so I'm going to plant them out this is the
sunflower that I moved and it's died oh I thought it might I didn't think it had much of a chance
but bless it it's well and truly dead right guys I'm heading home with a bag full of goodies
I've got lettuce spinach peas just absolutely filled up which is amazing and also I've
harvested my Swiss chard for the first time look how beautiful that is it's amazing so
I'm gonna go home and cook all this for lunch and I hope you enjoyed the vlog if you did subscribe
to my channel sorry I'm not in the best of moods I've still got a slight headache migraines are
just the worst thing ever but it's really helped being here so I hope you've enjoyed it see you
in my next vlog guys bye
