After planning for over a year and thoroughly enjoying the last 23 days on the boat from Seattle, we have finally arrived in Australia it wasted no time taking our breath away. While the entire world fits somewhere into one or the other of our "Places to go before we die" lists, Australia was firmly at the top of both our lists. Now we're here and my first though was, "Why did we wait so long?" Our time here is still new and we have countless adventures yet to come in the land down under but we can already say this, as a country, quite possibly our favorite country we've ever visited. Stay tuned as we do our best to see as much of this behemoth continent turned country.
**Special thanks to all the animals who graciously posed and allowed us to photograph and video them ;-)

Holy beautiful city Batman.
We just arrived in Sydney and we saw this park
and I saw birds so we're off to investigate.
This city is absolutely lovely.
Bonus we got here on a Sunday.
Sunday is fun day in Sydney so $2.60 Australian which is like $2 American.
After you spend that on the train all your other trips are free for the day.
We were looking at the birds and that guy started throwing bread.
Look at all those seagulls that came out of nowhere.
We couldn't pass up the opportunity while touring Sydney to come see a movie
and we found a Ducks fan in the theater.
The Sydney train is really cool and the seats go both ways.
We're wandering around the Sydney Central station waiting for our bus
and decided it's time to get some Chinese food.
It's wonderful.
For our lodging in Byron Bay we're staying at the Byron Bay Beach Resort
which is actually a hostel but it's a really nice one.
Our room is super comfortable.
The place is gorgeous and it's right across the street from the beach.
Awesome street out here in Byron Bay.
Wow.
We are going to make our way up to the famous lighthouse at Byron Bay.
It's beautiful here.
Yeah it's like what Mendocino where I grew up used to be about 20 years ago.
This place has a great vibe.
Super friendly people.
Very eclectic international crowd.
It's expensive as hell but it's awesome.
So we are going right up there.
The master needs a caravan.
But we still got to go all the way up there.
The part I love the most about Australia is everybody's outside.
Hey Michael!
This is our Austrian buddy from our bus ride.
Hello.
So it's Angelina and André, our other friends from the bus trip.
As you can tell my lungs still aren't quite right.
My favorite walk that we've done in a very long time.
Absolutely gorgeous all the way up.
That is what I'm not going to do but it looks really cool.
Here we are on top of the Byron Bay lighthouse.
What an epic view.
We didn't know what made these balls but turns out it's a little crab.
The awesome sand here squeaks when you walk through it.
We're going to try to record it and see if you can hear it.
It's crazy.
You cannot sneak up on anybody.
So all in all, Byron Bay is freaking amazing.
Live beach entertainment.
Awesome beach.
Awesome people.
Love it.
