Falling further in love with this amazing country by the day, Brisbane quickly won us over. Whether we were on a water taxi cruising along the banks of the river winding its way through town or wandering one it's amazing neighborhoods & shopping areas, this city is a winner. We also take a day trip to the Australia Zoo (that's right, Steve Irwin "The Crocodile Hunters" Zoo, now run by his family following his tragic death over a decade ago.)

Welcome to Brisbane. We got in last night, went to an awesome Airbnb with Cory and Vaz.
If there was a way to have a 6 star instead of 5 star, they'd have it. This place is amazing.
The guys are wonderful. We'll put a link down below if you ever get to Brisbane. Stay with
Cory and Vaz. What have you thought about the city so far? It's wonderful. The new architecture
and the old are meshed together. It's so warm and inviting. Really loving Australia. Everything
about it. Sorry mom, we may never come back. We're about ready to get on the City Hopper.
It's a free water ferry that goes around to the downtown area. We're going to go explore
the city. Here we are at the amazing South Bank in Brisbane. There's a beach right here
in the middle of the city along the river. It's got a pool, lifeguards, water park, tons
of stuff to do. South Bank is a must do while you're in Brisbane. This is called the Rain
Forest Walk right along the river. There's all sorts of lizards and birds and trees and
stuff in here. And all of the water used in this is reclaimed. This whole place is just
amazing. Glad that guy didn't steal my camera. Super safe too. The entire city is under CCTV
at all times. Which I'm a fan of. Gotta admit it. Now we're going to go for a stroll across
the Goodwill Bridge and over into the Botanical Gardens. Wow, another rain forest display out in
the Botanic Gardens this time. Oh, I see birds. And mosquitoes. And they're awesome. We've got
sushi on a conveyor belt. Kate is in 7th heaven. We are on the train to Birwa, which is where the
Australia Zoo is. In the meantime, we're just enjoying the hell out of the beauty of Queensland.
Here we are at the Australia Zoo. And look, there's a big tortoise.
We're down at the Bounder Street Markets on West End. Heard about this nice little
market. It's only Friday and Saturday evenings from 4pm to 10pm. Pretty interesting little
area. Lots of food down here anyway. So let's see what they've got. International Corn Sampler.
I've already tried it. It's fantastic. This is my favorite. I don't know what it was,
but it was good. Going from Brisbane to Townsend on the Spirit of Queensland Railway. It's awesome.
Pro tip, if you're going to travel by rail in Australia, book your tickets early, like a couple
months early. We called just to check that this discount pass we found was legitimate. And they
said it is, but we got a sleeper car, which we'll show you here in a second. Sleeper beds for the
same price as we were going to get for our discount pass to sit in a chair. So we get
here. It's awesome. First class service, dinner and breakfast are included. There's showers. It's
an 18 hour trip. Goodie bag. What do you get in a goodie bag? Eye pillows. Earplugs. Shampoo and conditioner. These things fold back into a
complete lay flat bed. And we got blankets and towels. We've had a blast in Brisbane. It's a beautiful city and we loved it.
