This is the Instagram walk.
Oh shit, oh.
Yo.
What's going on everybody?
Welcome to a very special Fun Bros makeover.
Today we are in New York City
and we have a special fast fashion
brand showdown makeover challenge.
And to make sure that this makeover challenge goes well,
I got the Taylor hype guru himself,
Levitate Style, aka Leo Chan.
What's up man?
Thanks for having me.
I'm super excited to be here.
So yeah, we're going to be doing a Soho tour.
We're going to hit up H&M, Zara, Uniqlo,
and we're going to do one outfit at each spot.
And be sure to watch till the end of this video
because we are doing a giveaway
and we are going to have you guys vote
on which outfit you thought was the best.
All right, let's go meet this kid, Felix.
Hey, come on in.
Yo.
What's up?
Leo, how would you describe Felix's style currently?
I mean, right now he just looks really comfortable,
I guess, just chill.
Got a nice couple pounds of comfortable hair
sitting on his head.
A lot of hair.
Okay, we're going to do something with that.
Yeah.
Right now, I feel like it's more like a school style,
basically, like I'm just walking to school,
like you put on every day.
All right, I would say right now,
you definitely got like a gamer look going on.
Do you game?
I play League.
League.
Do you do your hair at all?
No, not very regularly, no.
Like, have you ever thought about getting a makeover?
Yeah, sort of.
But like, I was just kind of too lazy.
A lot of people are interested in fashion,
but they don't know where to start, where to begin.
They think it's really complicated or it's really expensive.
So this makeover is going to be perfect.
We're going to take you through some of my favorite brands.
It's going to be easy, it's going to be effortless,
and it's going to be right on budget.
And for everybody watching at home, guys,
Leo is going to make this super easy.
He's going to break it down
and make sure that this is something that you guys can do.
All right, Felix, you ready?
Yep.
All right, so the first step to any makeover
is getting the haircut.
So right now we're at 12 Pal.
It's a really cool barbershop out in Chinatown, New York.
I mean, they cut a lot of Asian hair,
so I think they know how to handle all this.
Let's go.
Thank you, thank you.
This is Felix.
Felix, nice to meet you.
He's the kid.
What's this mop doing, man?
I got really lazy.
All right, let's do this, man.
All right, so we're here with Peter.
Yo, Peter, thank you for taking care of this man.
And straight off the bat, I noticed, like,
for sure your hair is very soft, right?
That's typically most Asian hair as well.
It is also very dry.
How would you describe this current haircut?
Is this the Stephen Chow, the Jackie Chan,
or we got the-
This is your typical 15-year-old Asian kid
going to high school,
doesn't know a good barber just yet.
Probably going to, like, a $7 salon.
You know what I'm talking about?
This definitely has to be, you know, taken down a bit.
We're gonna change it up today.
Probably converting from, like, you know,
your $7 salon to, like, you know,
total premium standard, right?
We're gonna switch it up today.
We're gonna go for something very Korean-inspired.
I like that because he's kind of skinny,
like a K-pop star.
All right, you good with that?
Yeah, I'm good with that.
All right, let's do this, bro.
Yo, you left him handed.
It's all right.
You know what I'm saying?
It's all right.
It's all good.
It's kind of like a forward look
with a lot of textures on top.
It's gonna land, like, probably right on the forehead.
Probably gonna bring the fade on the sides very tight.
Okay.
You know, on the sides,
you're gonna have that modern pop,
and then on top,
you're gonna have a little bit more casual,
but still be able to glue it up a bit.
You have that, you know, like a special effect or something.
I know a lot of people, like,
obviously if you get a really short fade
and you want that faded look,
it's not gonna last very long.
But what I try to do is give them a hairstyle
that's super low-maintenance
during the time that it's growing back.
So this hairstyle actually caters to that.
All right, Felix.
Yo, Peter, you did a crazy job, man.
Peter, you have glasses.
You need glasses to see yourself,
so go ahead and put on your glasses
and take a look at yourself in the mirror.
Yeah, okay.
What do you think?
Peter really picked it up.
Shout out, Peter.
All right, Peter.
You cut a lot of Asian hair.
Is there, like, two main points
that people gotta remember about cutting Asian hair?
There's two main points.
Shape and fade.
The balance is very important.
It's really not that great of a haircut
if your fade is on point
and then the dude looking wonky on top.
And the second thing is, like, for Asian hair,
we have very soft and coarse hair sometimes.
What you would need to do on top
is to find a good product,
know how to style it.
Definitely invest in your hair.
Purchase something that will accommodate
towards what you're looking for.
All right, Felix, you got the fresh cut.
You can already see your face shape a little bit more.
So that's nice.
I like that.
You know, you're already looking sharper.
I like it.
It's fresh.
You lost a lot of hair.
How does your head feel?
Do you feel like a breeze?
Oh, I feel like Jesus with how high I am right now.
That's how light I am.
That is crazy.
All right, right now we're walking
from Chinatown to Soho.
And first spot we're gonna hit up H&M.
Ooh, the Swedish brand.
It's Brooklyn Tech.
Is that very hype-y?
Yeah, it's very hype-y.
Okay, so what are you seeing?
So you see kids with Yeezys.
You can always see kids at least, like,
with, like, $3,000 shoes.
You can see kids with shorts.
All right, Leo, how are we gonna help Felix compete
as far as outfit-wise
without spending thousands of dollars?
Listen, fashion is not all about the logos
and all the brands and spending all that money.
We're talking about style here.
So that's what we're gonna focus on.
Finding you great pieces at a budget
and you're still gonna look really sharp.
So this is a great alternative for a lot of guys out there
that just don't have all that money to spend.
But obviously we all care about how we look.
You look like you might be Singaporean.
No, you have a YouTube channel where you sing cover songs
and you're from Singapore.
That's what I'm seeing right now.
Okay, okay, okay.
All right, Leo, we are outside of H&M.
There's always a lot of sales happening.
So right now we're at, like,
the end of winter clearance sale.
Big style tip, you know, work on your budget.
Wait for sales.
There's always a lot of sales happening.
If you find good stylish pieces,
you should be able to wear it for seasons and years on end.
Felix, when was the last time you were at a H&M, man?
Like, when I was really little.
You haven't been in a H&M since you were little?
Yeah.
But you still are little.
Leo, you had an outfit in mind, correct?
One of my biggest inspiration is LeBron James.
You know, you gotta look at the king.
And he loves mixing the leather jacket with the black jeans.
So let's go.
All right, Leo, we got Felix in the outfit, man.
You looking fresh?
So the hoodie we got, this is originally 25 bucks,
but we got it on sale for $9.
It's a nice maroon color,
a little bit different from your usual.
Maroon is classy.
Look at that design, that detail.
And then you got a leather jacket.
I think every guy should have a leather jacket.
This we got for $60,
and we finished it off with some black fitted jeans.
And this full look we got for $100 at H&M.
All right, man, how are you feeling personally, though?
I'm feeling good, I'm feeling fresh.
Have you ever been in an outfit like this?
No, I've never had a black leather jacket like this before.
No, not at all.
This is essential.
I mean, look at me, I'm wearing a leather jacket right now.
This is New York City street style.
I feel like you just went from a three or four
to seven, eight, nine, you know what I mean?
This is a really good look.
All right, Leo, we got another spot to go to, man.
What's the next store?
Next up, we're gonna go to Zara.
Let's go.
Okay, so we got outfit number one,
but now we're outside of our second spot, Zara.
Zara's from Spain, and that's really a go-to spot
for high fashion designer look pieces.
They copy a lot from a lot of designers.
They think about Saint Laurent, Gucci,
and a better budget here.
So would you say Zara is, as far as price and design,
maybe one notch up from H&M?
Definitely.
So we're gonna look for that bold piece,
that unique piece that you won't find at the other stores.
All right, have you ever been to Zara before?
No, I haven't.
Outfit number two, let's go.
Let's go.
All right, Leo, Felix,
we just finished with outfit number two.
This is from Zara.
This one reminds me a lot of all things,
which is funny.
It's right across the street from Zara.
Literally right behind us.
At all things, this jacket can easily go for $400, $500.
Full price was $120, but we got it on sale for $50.
How are you feeling right off the bat?
I feel new, I feel fresh.
How does it feel different
than the outfit you had on before?
I feel like a lot more laid back.
I feel like it was kind of hardcore
with the hard leather jacket.
So you're saying the leather jacket
was a little intimidating?
A little bit, a little bit.
At Zara, you can find details like buttons on the jacket,
and also on the side.
Jackets like this come with these extra pieces,
normally you do not find at Uniqlo or H&M.
You can easily work this into an everyday outfit.
And we just paired it with a T-shirt.
Like, look how sharp he looks.
I love the ribbing on the collar, actually.
This is like a cool little detail.
It's a little puffed up right here.
And the entire outfit was only $62.
Now, we didn't get pants at Zara
because we're just keeping the pants from H&M
because they fit really well.
All right, guys, that wraps it up for outfit number two.
And in the comments below, at the end of this video,
after outfit number three,
we're gonna ask everybody to comment down below
on which outfit they like the most.
And the best comment is gonna get a gift certificate
to the winning outfit store.
And for outfit number three, our final one,
we're gonna go to Uniqlo.
Okay, so for our last spot
on this fast fashion makeover challenge.
A lot of people know Uniqlo, they're from Japan.
Definitely like a go-to for essential items, the basics,
but good quality.
So that's why we're here.
It's not like H&M and Zara
because H&M and Zara is much more trendy.
They're more European.
I'm excited.
Let's check out Uniqlo.
Outfit number three.
Would you wear a Fortnite shirt?
Because I know you play Fortnite.
I mean...
Describe to me the difference between being in a Uniqlo
versus a Zara and H&M.
It's a lot more Japanese, less formal.
It's a lot more casual.
Which one do you prefer?
To be honest, Uniqlo.
I'm shocked that you picked the Asian one.
It's just different kinds of like staple pieces, really.
And then they maximize on the color, on that style.
They have some nice shirts and stuff,
but if you're looking for that interesting jacket,
you're not gonna find that here.
Okay, so Leo right now is teaching Felix how to walk.
And then you can take one foot.
And then you're just gonna walk like this,
just like a one step.
How's he gotta look in his face?
You don't have to look at it right at the camera.
Just like look at it.
Stare at one direction?
Yeah.
This is the Instagram walk.
Oh, shit.
Oh.
Yo.
Okay, this is our third and final outfit from Uniqlo.
It feels really nice.
It feels really casual.
Like it's probably the most casual one so far.
What graphic is that?
Dragon Ball, obviously.
Now we have Vegeta in his gradient form.
Uniqlo always has a lot of collaboration with t-shirts.
So a lot of cool graphic tees
that you won't see anywhere else.
You wanna show what you love.
Yeah, show your personality.
So you can do that with a t-shirt.
Would you wear a Fortnite shirt?
I mean, no.
This is a light blue chambray jacket.
This is perfect going into the spring season.
The Burberry, the Lacoste,
they do a lot of jackets like this that do really well.
And now you can get this similar look.
The pants, you know, we wanted to go with this color.
The navy blue, the blue khaki color
works really well with this color.
You know, it's 2020.
We wanna go with more high tech,
a little bit more athleisure.
I wanna see what it's like when you got a beanie on.
That's me, that's me, that's me.
All right, boom, beanie.
If you don't wanna style your hair every day,
give your hair a rest,
you can easily wear a beanie and still look stylish.
What is your girlfriend gonna think now?
I mean, she's gotta like me for me, right?
So it's gotta be the Uniqlo.
Okay, all right, I like that answer.
We'll follow up.
All right, so for me personally,
you know, I really liked outfit number two.
But this seems very, very you.
I don't want you to sway the comments,
but what's your personal favorite?
I actually really like number two.
That outfit looks like it's fine on your body.
Let's be honest.
Because you did more dress like you in that outfit.
All right, guys, in the comments down below,
this is very important.
Let us know which outfit you enjoyed the most.
Is it number one from H&M, number two from Zara,
or number three from Uniqlo?
When you leave a comment,
be sure to explain why you like the outfit the most.
Leave your Instagram handle
so that we can choose the winner.
Follow us on Instagram, fungrows, levitate style.
Felix.
Hey, you want the followers?
We'll plug it.
Are you sure?
Yes, sir.
Why not?
All right, don't DM him too much, ladies.
You gotta grow.
All right, everybody, that wraps it up
for our three brand makeover battle in Soho, New York.
Yo, shout out to Felix.
Young Felix here from Brooklyn Tech.
I'm sure you're gonna get some comments at school
when this video comes out.
You know what?
I'm gonna talk to your friends
and they're gonna let us know if you keep it up.
All right, all right.
I feel really good.
I feel like now that I've tried out
all these three different styles,
I feel like I can really expand my closet more.
I mean, listen, we're not saying everybody needs
a makeover or anything like that.
This is just a really good video
to show you guys how to shop better, what to look for.
All right, so when it comes to fast fashion
and the waste that it produce
and the potential for hurting the environment,
I'll say this.
It's fast fashion, it exists.
So just buy in a smart way.
Be conscious about what you're buying.
You know, look for quality pieces.
And wear it.
That's the best thing you can do is wear your clothes.
Because if you buy a shirt and then you just toss it,
that's exactly what you shouldn't be doing.
So whether you're buying fast fashion
or you're buying a higher quality brand,
just wear your clothes, man.
And even if you have to throw it out,
like you can always give it to someone who needs it as well.
Wow.
Yeah, that's right.
Whoa, look at this guy.
16 years old, speaking like Greta Thunberg.
And thank you so much to Leo from Levitate Style.
Be sure to check out his Instagram down below.
All right, everybody,
remember to leave your comment down below
which outfit you thought was the best
and you could win a gift card to the winning store.
Until next time, we out.
Peace.
Man, I could not have done that video without you, man.
Thank you so much.
Where can the people find you?
You can find me on Instagram, on YouTube,
everywhere at Levitate Style.
All right, man.
You are on a mission to showing people
that they can up their style game.
For sure, yeah.
In a mature way.
Exactly.
Tailored hype right here.
Let's go.
From fob to finance to fashion.
