April Garden Tour & 2020 Garden Aspirations
April garden tour! Not a ton has changed since the march garden tour, but I still wanted to do a video to show how things progress throughout the year. I included clips here of the garden from previous garden tours also to give a better look at how things will kind of look when more of the perennials start growing. The garden beds have a lot of hardy tropicals in them, plants like colocasia / elephant ears, ginger plants and hardy banana trees; all of which need sustained, warmer temps to start flushing out. I also gave some planter updates with some of last year's fall planters and the autumn fern planter. I talked about some ideas I have for the garden to give an insight about how I plant my gardens. There's a plethora of considerations to be made for every decision, so it is helpful to run the thoughts out loud. Not much is happening in the veggie garden, but hopefully it will be warm enough in the next couple of weeks to start planting up the annuals around the tropical plants and get the vegetable garden started. I have a lot of cannas, caladiums and ginger roots to get started, hopefully I will get to that in this weekend's vlog.
