Singer Jam Hsiao’s 8-Storey Mansion

Hi I’m Jam Hsiao Welcome to my home Six floors above the ground And two floors under So there are eight floors in total I love staying at home I have to spend time with my dogs Since I am very busy I try to stay with them as long as I can I have had them before I became a singer Six dogs and four cats Ten is a perfect number Many of them are strays I rescued from streets I adopted them over the past decade It was “cardboard snowball” And now it’s “thick cut toast” They are free No chains No cages I moved here three years ago The pond is the first thing you see coming through that gate The ground floor is an open space And red is the prominent color in here Including the piano, it’s customized And it has my name on it When I have people over for dinner I can play for them And I find that people seldom sit on a couch They prefer talking around the table So I don’t have a living room on the ground floor And in the back is the kitchen The cooking area is separated Further back is a garden There is not much luxurious decoration in my house Most are just ornaments And art And animal figures This is Koirabbit By painter Fu-Chun Tsai She’s very young Same age as me I adore her works As I am a rabbit in the Chinese horoscope One floor below is where I keep my toys I like buying like basketball player toy figures Michael Jordan The Bulls big three And some also from movies My favorite is Leon From “Léon: The Professional” And the little girl The big Michael Jordan (figure) Is a gift from Show Lo He left it at my door the first time he visited The toy came before he did And after I became a singer I don’t got much chance to go shopping So many of the stuff are my childhood desires The bottom floor is a garage It’s connected to the driveway And I go home directly to the garage So there is a see-through corridor Where you can look at the paintings And on the same floor There is a shoe wall I don’t have a shoe cabinet Because if I did I might have had over one thousand pairs of shoes So I limit myself to that wall Once the wall is full I have to get rid of some shoes Just a few days ago I gave away some fifty pairs of shoes And now I still have more than one hundred of them I love doing sports under here The second floor is a relaxing area On one wing there is the study Sometimes you just need to be quiet Who is being bad? Or if you need to yell at someone Take him to the study No I don’t, just kidding On the other side is my studio It’s the place where I write songs I get my ideas together here And then When I’m all organized I start editing on the computer The drums The piano Keyboard Saxophone and guitar My earliest contact with music dates back to my middle school years The very first instrument I ever wanted to learn is jazz drum But we couldn’t really afford it So I dropped that after about two months I was a rebellious kid But I always know that I love music Later I sang at a restaurant And I took part in One Million Star at 19 And released my first album when I was 20 Things changed in just a few years I had a dream Of me moving into a villa It’s kinda curious If I want to be something I can always seem to do that Life is fine either way Before our house had no door, no window And the walls were broken And no thief would visit our house cause there was nothing to steal So maybe I really wanted to have a dream house to myself I can feel people’s admiration I am able to buy stuff I want By myself I know what I have to do to get here So I’m very happy
