Look for some A's.
A?
Yeah, some down there.
Some down.
Alright, so we just visited the Osaka castle. A little bit touristy for my liking, but hey,
if you're here in Osaka, you need to at least visit this place once. But yeah, a bit touristy,
but a lot of better things to do than the castle.
So we're in the Don Quijote? Don Quijote? Quijote? Quijote? The Don Q-Ferry's Wheel in Osaka.
I didn't even know we could get in this. Last time I was here with my brother,
it didn't work or something. Or at least I didn't know about this. But now I'm here.
Another one off the to-do list.
Look at this girl's backpack, it's almost like half her size, pretty much half her size.
So we're just here at the Gokurakabashi station and we're waiting for the cable car which
will take us up to Koya-san where we'll spend a day and a night at a shugabu, which is a
temple stay.
Looking forward to the experience and the fall leaves are coming in and looking pretty
thin.
Splendid.
Here comes the cable car.
It seems that we have the cable car all to ourselves, the VIP exclusive experience.
So this is our temple stay for the day and night.
A lot more luxurious than I imagined.
There's more room here than the hotel we were in in Osaka.
But yeah, we're not going to stay too long here because we need to just immediately go
and check out all the sights and use the daylight as much as possible.
So I'll show you guys the room more once we're back and probably in the morning.
What are you doing over there?
After dinner, could you get in touch with our office?
Our extension number is 10.
After that, we're coming here to the table.
Thank you.
So this is our shouri meal.
I think that's how it's pronounced.
Basically, our vegetarian temple meal while we're here in this temple lodging.
I don't believe I've told you guys the temple name, but the name of it is Zaizen-in or Zaizen-in.
It's pretty close to the Garan complex and not so far from the Kongobuji temple.
But yeah, this looks pretty nice.
Well, better than the vegetarian food I've tried at some other temples.
But yeah, looking sweet.
This is more like it.
Wakakusa, basically the mountain or hill near Dinara Park.
It's quite a little climb up, nothing too difficult for most people.
But once you get up here, you are going to be rewarded with an excellent view of the park and the city.
Well worth it in my opinion, especially when the weather is so good as it is today.
I just had a pretty filling ramen at Ramen Zen no Kaze.
So if you're in Kyoto, you're freezing, you're starving, and you want some decent ramen, check that place out.
Definitely lived up to my expectations.
And now we need to go back to our hotel and sleep early, or at least try to sleep early.
We got a pretty busy day the next morning.
The next day, whatever, you know what I mean.
So we're in Kanazawa.
This is probably a bit of a hidden gem in Japan.
It's located north of Kyoto.
The city is responsible for pretty much over 95% of the gold leaf production in all of Japan.
Now there's obviously more to see in the city than just gold leaf production.
And we're going to go around and check out some of the sites.
Really cool, interesting museums and temples.
And one of the best gardens in all of Japan.
So let's check it out.
Arigatou gozaimasu.
That's in another place. Only here.
No soy sauce.
Alright, me and Lisa just had some amazing sushi at Sushi Ippe.
And it's a little sushi restaurant run by an elderly couple.
Really nice, really sweet.
Even with their limited English, they're trying their best to accommodate foreign guests like us.
And that's not something that can be said to all the places in Japan.
Some places are pretty strict or should I say just not really foreigner friendly.
And that's their choice.
But I gotta recommend Sushi Ippe if you're interested in some decent sushi when you're here in Kanazawa.
Alright guys, we are here at our ryokan.
Which is basically a Japanese hotel slash inn.
We decided to go with the open bath and it looks amazing.
It's a little bit dark right now so you can't see.
But apparently you should be able to see a mountain or a mountain range here.
So hopefully we'll see that in the morning before we leave and take a little extra dip.
But so far this place looks absolutely gorgeous.
So this is I guess the beginning of our ryokan onsen experience.
First time having plum water.
It's strong.
This looks so nice.
We're headed up to the rooftop where there's a nice sort of scenic hot spring I believe.
There's two actually.
It's absolutely freezing up here.
It's minus one.
I see your eyes.
They fill my heart with heaven.
I'm flying and in the sky.
I see your eyes.
They answer all my longing.
Hello there.
So if you're listening to this then that means you watched the entire thing.
Which is no small feat.
So congrats and thank you for sticking around and watching this little travel film to the end.
Well I shouldn't say little as this is by far the longest one I've made so far.
And I don't know if I'll make one as long as this again.
I guess it all depends on you guys and the circumstances.
But I thought for this trip it just made sense.
So yeah.
Seven cities in the span of two weeks.
I would be lying if I didn't tell you that at times it was hectic and a bit exhausting.
But it's always nice to visit Japan.
Japan definitely holds a special place in my heart.
If you watched my older Japan videos you probably noticed that I visited some of the same locations this time around.
And that's because well I was bringing Lisa with me and it was her first time in Japan.
So I thought it would be unfair if I would exclude those experiences from her.
So we decided to sort of take off sort of the crucial ones and sort of add a few additional new experiences for both of us.
Which led to us visiting Koya-san, Kanazawa and Takayama which were great.
But Japan. What can I say?
Such a beautiful country especially during the autumn season.
If you're wondering what's coming next on this channel then there will be a couple of additional Japan videos coming up after this one.
Perhaps sort of a Ryokan onsen video which you kind of got a little preview of in this video.
And some more informative type of videos such as a guide or things to do of some of the places that I visited during this trip.
Anyways this might be either the last or one of the last videos before the holidays.
So I just wanted to personally wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Wherever you are in the great big world out there.
And finally thank you for following along my journey so far.
Your support truly means the world to me.
This is Alan. Until next time.
