Roman COMBAT TRAINING at Isca Augusta Fortress

If there’s one place in England that is a favorite for the tourist, it’s the city of Bath in Somerset county. Yet Bath is not only for those wishing to shop, eat, or enjoy the beauty of the architecture. It’s also a place for ancient history enthusiasts to get a tour of one of the best-preserved Roman bath houses in the world. David and Mariza take you there in this video and show you what makes the Roman bath so interesting. Before that, though, they bring you on an exploration of the ruins of a Roman villa in Chedworth, and then over the bridge into Wales, where they lead you through the remains of the Isca Augusta Roman fort, one of only three permanent fortresses the Romans built in Britain. There you will get a view of an ancient amphitheater, where the soldiers trained.
