Honda Cars India has been working on its Creta rivalling compact SUV for quite some time and according to news reports, the model will debut in the second quarter of this calendar year. In terms of design, the model will take inspiration from the Honda HR-V that's on sale in the global markets, measuring around 4200 mm in length. The model will be based on the new Amaze platform and will likely source the 1.5-litre petrol powertrain from the Honda City. A turbo-petrol variant is likely on cards as well.

Toyota is set to make its presence felt at the Auto Expo 2023 with a bunch of brand-new offerings. While the all-new Innova HyCross and Land Cruiser 300 will grab quite a few eyeballs, the Gazoo Racing or GR Corolla will also make its first appearance in India at the Auto Expo along with other alternative fuel powered models like the new Prius and Mirai. Globally, the GR Corolla rivals the likes of the Honda Civic Type R and Gold R and gets a 1.6-litre, turbo-petrol motor under its hood that churns out a good 301 bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
