Tool List:
Driver
18v Drill
7/64" Drill Bit
Stud Finder

Material List:
2-12" Screws (preferably brown ceramic-coated)

Instructions:

1) Assess current fastening situation in the cabinet. Examine the top rail, the bottom rail, and the back walls of all cabinets.

2) Determine how many more fasteners are required for under-equipped cabinets--4 screws per cabinet is ideal.

3) Where fasteners are missing, locate a stud in the back wall by using a stud finder.

4) Drill a hole through the top or bottom rail with 7/64" drill bit. Also, use a "countersink" bit to make a pocket at the location for the screw head to sit inside.

4) Use an impact driver to set a 2-1/2" screw in the drilled hole. Set screw head flush with face of rail.

5) If bottom rail is inaccessible for some reason, drive screws at stud locations through back wall of cabinet. But don't drive too deeply! The cabinet wall is only 1/4" thick in most cases.

6) You can better hide screws in the back wall by placing them above shelves that are themselves above eye level.

7) Face frames of the cabinets can also be "pinned" together by drilling sideways through one frame into the next. Just be sure to pre-drill and countersink--and be careful!

8) European cabinets will often have their own unique mounting system. Check manufacturer guidelines.
