This video will demonstrate how to repair a stripped screw hole. This repair can be applied to nearly any screw hole, including door hinges, hardware, or wooden handles like this one.
Tools:
Utility Knife
Coping Saw
Screwdriver
Sandpaper
Drill
Drill Bits
Materials:
Scrap Wood
Super Glue / Epoxy
How-To:
1) Break off a small piece of wood approx. the size and shape of the stripped screw hole.
2) Glue the piece into the stripped screw hole.
3) Cut off excess material with a knife or coping saw, then sand flat.
4) Drill new hole with bit slightly smaller than your screw.
5) Drive screw into new hole to establish new fit.
6) Permanently mount screw in place.
