Wow! Seoul sure made a great first impression and it just keeps impressing us. You know we love Starbucks, it's a little piece of the Pacific Northwest everywhere we go. Well Seoul has some of the most amazing Starbucks locations we have ever seen, anywhere! The location at Famile Park is certainly special...and enormous. We also really loved the Kwang Jang Market which takes up a city block and is jam packed with all sorts of treasures including more fabric than I've ever seen in one place. More importantly, the Kwang Jang Market has an absolutely awesome selection Korean Street food. While we're feasting our way through on Kimbap and Tteokboki and Mung Bean Pancakes, an Oregon alum sees my shirt and we wind up on a Korean Reality TV show. Too Funny. We also discover the most delicious drink Starbucks has ever put out..the Cold Brew Malt...Espresso and Ice Cream and other yumminess all blended together. Delightful.
We manage to find my favorite place in Seoul from many years ago, a salsa dancing club named Macondo that is not only still open but thriving. It was awesome to spend an evening there. We're heading to Busan however there is a Typhoon on the way so we'll keep our fingers crossed. To get there we're taking the Korean Bullet Train, the KTX which is really awesome.
