The Oklahoma City Thunder defeat the Philadelphia 76ers, 100-91. Tre Mann led the way with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the Thunder, while Ousmane Dieng added 22 points (10-12 FG) and 10 rebounds in the victory. Jaden Springer tallied 17 points and 5 rebounds for the 76ers.
The Thunder beat Utah Monday night.
They lost to Philadelphia last night.
Philly lost to Memphis on Monday night.
Around the same place.
Springer, had to rush the shot just a bit.
The tap wouldn't go.
This time though, the fakie roll by Butler from the corner.
Set those feet.
You know, he told us before this summer league started
that he wanted his system,
his assistants to kind of know his expectation.
Great move.
And then, now he's handing the reins over.
In the paint, but put it in second gear.
Beautiful mid-range shot.
That's a nickel and a dime left on that court.
That was change.
He takes on a double team, misfires,
and we got high tempo right now.
Trey Mann on a dish, beautifully done.
Goes into the paint, draws the crowd.
He has just shown us so much.
I think Trey Mann has maybe shown me the most
out of anybody here in summer league outside of us.
You're exactly right.
Brown to third, but they've been passing up shots.
The ball has been moving,
and as Trey Mann didn't pass that one up.
Nice deep and really phases him.
He figures things out.
We've talked about this a lot during this week
in Salt Lake, as he drains another three.
Yeah, that was a slow heartbeat on that shot.
Shackelford fakes the three, drives, kicks.
Smith outside and takes advantage.
He monitored throughout his entire career
at Kansas State with a heart monitor
that was linked into the Mayo Clinic,
and I know that OKC will, of course,
pay attention to his health, but I'm just happy.
Knocked down the triple,
but just a physical presence on the floor.
Yeah, no question, that's a great comeback story.
Forgot about the missed shot, got to the next play.
Got him a block.
Last couple minutes, another bucket, Philadelphia.
They got a hit shot.
They've been passing up a few.
A lot of dribbling going on.
Gonna have to call a blocking foul in the paint.
Off turnovers, so let's see
if their defense can turn up here.
Three-point play for Lee.
Shackelford drives, finds a lane and scores it.
Jayden Shackelford.
City Caleb McConnell out of Rutgers.
Another turnover.
Shackelford gets the lead pass,
missed it, the butt down by Uzman.
You have to do something to make a difference,
whether it's a block shot, rebound, whatever it is.
Ricky Council IV denied.
OKC breaks it away.
Philly trying to do a better job of pointing
in the direction of who they're guarding.
Beautiful pass right there.
Yeah.
Two fine young players.
They both played well here.
Both have been terrific.
Butler comes up the loose ball
and the bucket dropped and smart back in the frontcourt.
Oh, there's a pocket that was picked clean.
McConnell drives, hooks it, scores it off the window.
Ramsey, number 45.
Jemias Ramsey on a Texas Tech.
It's still gonna be a lot of learning.
Obviously, we fly out tonight and off tomorrow,
so we'll probably watch some film,
try to get better in the film room.
If coach wants to practice, we'll do that also,
but not only for us, but the other 29 teams as well.
All right, before I let you go, last question.
It's really awesome to me to see former players
getting into the front office.
Tell me what's important about your path
that you want other guys to know is important.
Uzman Jang, maybe the most active player on the floor
on either side of the ball.
Jang in double figures with 10.
Passes out, bounce it to the corner.
The three is away.
There you go.
And up and good.
Smith looks down low on the block.
Patruchio turns around and hits.
Maybe he's one of the players you've gotta go in.
Trey Mann, right place again.
Down on the baseline, picks away the rebound.
Springer tries to take it away.
Jang, hot, hits the triple.
But it just has not happened consistently for Philly.
You know, Jang did not play well
against the Jazz Monday night,
but the last two times on the floor, he's been dynamic.
You can climb out of that little by little.
You've got enough time,
but you've gotta do some special things.
Pass, knocked down.
Here's Bubber.
Uro steps it inside and scores.
Springer out to Smith.
Dials up a deep three.
Splashes home the bucket.
That's good ball movement.
Much of Traquavion starting the offense.
And he just hit one, so he's hot.
Lost the handle.
Ball comes loose.
There's, again, an unneeded turnover.
Deflection picked up, and Trey Mann is everywhere.
You take that deep shot, Holly,
and all of a sudden,
you don't know where the rebound comes out,
but you know it's coming out long.
Down low, Usman Jang has really
had a fine, fine game inside out.
That deal finally gets finalized today.
Minivan.
Minivan is in Cleveland.
They loved him in Salt Lake.
They loved him in Philly.
Mann picks up his seventh rebound to go
with his 15 points.
Slides inside.
Tough shot to pass the bucket and one.
Stewart to Smart.
Crosses over.
Gets that ball back out.
A little drive by the Sixers.
Nice floater.
Nice play.
Those kind of easy baskets.
Elijah McCaddy.
Maybe the easiest bucket of the night
for the Sixers.
From the corner.
The splash down for three.
Smart quickly in the front court.
He'll turn.
Fire up a three.
In and out.
And the putback.
Climbing up on the ladder.
Jerr Bubber handles a double team out front.
Shackleford wide open.
Two tonight.
80-58.
As we roll up on a minute left.
Catch and shoot from the corner.
Really just take you,
take you away from your opponent.
Yeah, like just blow the game open.
Absolutely.
Nice drive.
Down low.
Devontae Smart.
And the three jumps off the rim.
Good look by Shackleford.
Philly rolls inside the EuroStep T
and that big long stride by Smart.
And they've outscored the Thunder by 12.
Yeah.
And OKC is really picking the defense up.
They know that Philly.
Jerr Bubber hustled back on the defensive end
to take it back for the Thunder.
McConnell.
Floater.
Pulls a string and scores.
Talk about OKC.
So we can expect for OKC fans
to get to see Keontae in action soon,
which is really good news.
He's been nursing a hamstring injury.
Spinning in a three is Tucker.
And there's a lot of games.
A lot of that too is the position his team will put him in.
Nice.
Oh man.
Nice pass.
Big, big.
Throw that ball, dropped right where it had to be.
Gotta take advantage.
And that's a play that you have to use.
A little fancy action down for OKC on that drive.
Off the hand of Tubelis.
Slip pass Maldonado.
Too easy.
Well, Tubelis that time.
We'll talk about maybe turnovers.
Try to watch this one down the drain thorough,
but still, that was a 32nd point
that OKC has scored off Philly turnovers.
Left to right hand.
Dances back outside on the wing.
Philly looking for a shot.
Springer lowers the shoulder.
Contact made.
Count it.
The fourth quarter, Smith controls.
I like this move here.
It's bring Turquavion Smith back,
let him play off the ball
and see if he can hit some threes for you.
You know, minutes, about a quarter and a half ago,
he was just kind of leaning back in the chair,
but now he's leaning forward
and he's much more attentive of what's happening
on the floor.
How about that split of the defense by Trey Mann?
That time it was really good defense on Philly's side,
but that's where you want the basketball.
Smart, lures you to sleep on that drive.
They're gonna count it.
On his left hand.
Needs help.
Wow, just barely got the ball to Jang.
He forces it out.
The three's up.
What a big bucket as Mann still holds that right hand.
Humps a deep three.
Bang.
That's what he does.
You know, again, Nick Nurse says a deep range kid
and he's done it.
Jang with an easy bucket.
Nice round of applause.
Entertaining game.
Despite the lopsided first half,
but give Philly credit.
They played hard defensively.
They came back within five.
They lose this game by nine.
