Nissan has announced that their flagship SUV the Nissan Murano will receive a full redesign for 2024. This 2023 Nissan Murano SV AWD includes tons of value but has buyers thinking if they should wait until the new Nissan Murano arrives before purchasing. When completing my review of the 2023 Nissan Murano I can conclude that it still looks great, has a smooth and comfortable ride with decent safety tech. Comment below if you are going to wait for the redesign or would go with this 2023 Nissan Murano SV AWD! #nissanmurnao#nissan#carsunlocked SUBSCRIBE- https://bit.ly/2RduVe7 Instagram- https://bit.ly/37mwAGe

Welcome back to another video here from Cars Unlocked. Beautiful fall day here in Niagara,
Ontario. Look at it outside and today we have the gorgeous 2023 Nissan Murano SV. We're going to go
through the ins and outs to help you determine if this is the SUV for you and your family.
So the Nissan Murano has been a staple in the Nissan lineup and this Murano saw its most recent
redesign in 2015. So for 2023 we do see little changes between last year's model. They've
updated the cosmetics a little bit throughout the years but it's typically the same as the 2022.
This one is the SV so it's right in the middle with an MSRP here in Canada 41,648. Let's talk
about the power plan. 3.5 liter V6 attached to a CVT and it's going to give you about 260 horsepower
and 240 pounds feet of torque. Let's check out the front end here and even though they haven't
changed much like this is still a gorgeous vehicle here. Everything is nice and sloping.
The body lines and curvature that you see here really one of the first that brought these
boomerang style Nissan headlights. You get LEDs on your headlights. You have your LED headlights,
automatic on off, high beam assistant for the headlights as well. We have our chrome
v-motion grille right in the front and then we have this blacked out kind of front fascia
forward sensor down below and there is a forward camera as well. New Nissan emblem. If you want
to prioritize fuel economy I would go with something like the Nissan Rogue. This one the
fuel economy is 10.4 liters combined per 100 kilometers or 22.6 mpg for all my American
friends. Let's take a look at the side profile and this is what I meant by body lines and curvature.
When you look at the side profile I really love the body lines. They all flow right to the back
into this kind of floating roof look that we saw got brought to the Nissan lineup
back in that 2015 redesign. We do have our black roof rails on the SV. Chrome body handles.
There is the remote entry so there's a button on the door here that you can enter. Nice chrome
side sill on the door and we do have our LED accents on the mirrors and then another camera
on each mirror. So there's an around view monitor which we're going to show you when we jump inside.
In terms of rims this one comes with 18 inch aluminum alloy rims. They're on all season tires
and you have front and rear disc brakes. I want you guys to comment what you guys think like
Nissan has announced that they're not making the Nissan Maxima anymore and this is really the
Maxima in SUV form. So it's sad to say this but I do think that this might be the next car to be
axed from Nissan. It does fit this kind of luxury segment. It's a much smoother ride than your
Rogues or your other SUVs and it kind of competes with your Acura RDX. Those type of luxury
SUVs. This Murano is all-wheel drive so you do have your all-wheel drive badging. Another camera
on the back. There's four cameras total and we have our parking sensors so it will help when
you're parking and it has features like moving object detection, rear emergency braking as well.
It's a super smooth ride. You don't feel any bumps. You feel like you're sitting on a cloud
and you feel like you're driving a cloud. Negatives would just be the fuel economy.
For a base like this the price point at $416,000 is a little steep. I feel like there might be a
little more value on the market and they haven't really changed anything. You don't see the modern
styling that you see in the newer versions of the Nissans. Acura RDX, those type of luxury
SUVs. When you jump on the inside of the SUV, even though this is one of the lower packages,
it still comes like pretty fully loaded. You get this nice leather. It's a leather pointed seat,
kind of a leatherette seat here. Power adjustable driver's seat, remote starter as well so you can
start it up from a distance. Perfect for the winter time but let's sit in this. The comfort
of the Merano is next level. I'm not talking it down here. Very comfortable when you sit in these
seats and then you have this center arm piece console here and there's kind of two armrests
here which is very comfortable when you're driving. It's important to note that even
though they haven't changed this, the styling that they redesigned the car in 2015 was way
ahead of the curve and like this this styling is amazing. All the surfaces are soft. It has
all the tech so you guys, I've seen a lot of comments on my other video. We did the Platinum
Merano and a lot of you guys were commenting that it needs to be updated. They really just
knocked the first one out of the park. So check out the video of the Platinum if you want to see
the top model and just comment below what you guys think of the drive. Let's talk about the
business end that we see here guys. The Nissan wheel is nicely laid out. We have intelligent
cruise control right on the wheel so it will keep you a safe distance from the car in front of you
when you're using the cruise control. We have our voice command buttons and then we can control
the screen behind us here and we have things like a digital speedometer. We have our compass,
our radio, our fuel economy all on the vehicle information screen. It's a heated leather-wrapped
steering wheel and the front seats are heated. We have the eight-way power adjustable front seat
and the four-way manual adjustable passenger seat. Let's talk about the screen. Still a CD
player in here. They haven't gotten rid of the CD player on the Merano. It's a little angled away
from you so it kind of helps but you do still have to like look down but you have things like
eight-inch touchscreen display here. You do get GPS and navigation so you can just punch your
address in there and you have Sirius satellite radio, Bluetooth audio streaming, AM FM obviously
and then you can connect your phone and use the apps like Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
You still have to use the wires and plug your phone in to connect to those apps.
Digital temperature control, perfect on a day like today. The weather's kind of up and down.
You just set your temperature as you can see I'm doing here and the fans will automatically adjust.
You can also have a dual. One side hot, one side cold. Keep your girl happy
and then below we have a USB and a USB-C to connect our phone. Big sunroof in this SV here.
That's one of the reasons why you go up from the S is you get this large panoramic sunroof.
I've shown this before but it goes all the way to the back and then you get six audio speakers.
You guys know I'm a classic rock guy, Crosby, Stills and Nash. Let's check out the back. When
you jump in the rear seat this is why you would go up to like the Murano versus the Nissan Rogue
here. You just have so much more space, so much more comfort for your passengers.
The seat reclines quite a bit. There's a USB and a USB-C here. Two cup holders in the armrest and
there's a cup holder in each door. For overall more passenger volume the Murano is awesome in
that regards. I know there's a lot of viewers on my channel who own Muranos and it's going to be
sad if they get rid of the car because it's such a comfortable drive. I know that when I send
customers out on a test drive in the Murano I don't really have to do much selling. They're
comment what you guys think. I wish it had the ProPILOT Assist. That's my only kind of other
negative is the Road, the Pathfinders now come with the ProPILOT Assist. The Murano needs the
ProPILOT Assist if it's going to be the top dog in the Nissan world. Let's look at the trunk. If
you're curious about the trunk space it does have a power lift gate and it's going to open up to
about 31 cubic feet of cargo capacity. There is a little hidden storage underneath here and the
seats actually fold down with these levers here. I call it the lazy man's Murano because you can
just plop the levers down and it will fold down. It's basically a flat storage surface. Great if
you're going to Ikea or doing those Home Depot things. If you guys are new here and you guys
learned something from this video hit that subscribe button. As always check out my Instagram
and my TikToks and if you guys have questions just fire them off in the comments. I respond
to all my comments so fire your questions away. I'll see you in the next video. Have a great day!
