Atlanta Hawks vs. Los Angeles Lakers Full Game Highlights Jan 6 2022-2023 NBA Season

For the Western Conference title, they're currently 24-14, a game out of Flaxton. Here's Simmons, and could have easily been an offensive foul. And then a wide open look for Kevin. That's a monster sign. Because, listen, in his tenure in Philly, Ben Simmons averaged 12 drives per game. You know what he is here? Three. Ability to make open corner threes this big for him. Irving, off the bounce. That's money. Feeling like an MVP before that hamstring injury. McCollum pulls the trigger. The defensive end under Jacques Bond. Yeah, they're engaged, committed, certainly. McCollum trying to blow by Claxton, out to Jones. And Jones' three is good. Going in and over two from deep. Murphy with the blow by. Goes at Simmons' chest. It spins home. Before the game, one of the players has his wife and kids here. All of his teammates came over, and they all took pictures with the kids. And finally, up the floor. Durant trying to get free from Herb Jones. By the way, last season, Kevin Durant started one game 0 for 5. Until that shot. His first points. It's because we were talking about how ridiculously efficient he was. That's called the announcer jinx. Offensive end. There's no doubt about that. He's on Valanchunas on the switch. He's got Irving on him now. Jose Alvarado off the bench, and he drills a three. Here's Warren, who missed all of last season with an injury. Long rebound. Irving bats it to Simmons. Irving now from deep. That's got a three. After missing the last four games with a shoulder injury. Marshall corner three. That's good. They got a three on two. Marshall wide open look. Another three. The game. Kevin Durant, one for seven. Make it two for eight as he blows by four. All time to be born in Japan and play in the NBA. Cam Thomas, who's also on the Nets, was born in Japan and played collegiately at LSU. Floor. Got eight points. Durant with two men on him. Swishes home a three. Possession. That's the new rule this year. We have not seen it very often. We're seeing a lot more fast break points. Progress over the course of the season. Because, boy, they'd love his shooting. Alvarado again. Short this time. Offensive rebound. And another try. That one's good. Alvarado driving. Gets to the goal. He's got a game. Hayes hosting up on the smaller Kyrie. Irving battled him, but... Brandon Ingram's toe situation. Get right. Can he get comfortable enough with his body to go out there and perform? Irving for two. One for three. Here's Devontae Graham. Able to get the bounce. Brought T.J. Warren in to provide some scoring. And he certainly can get caught in the air. Turned it over. Here's Warren running the court and getting the dunk. Good look ahead. Good deed by O'Neal. To Durant. He pulls up over Ballantyne and scores. And one. Second three for Seth Curry. Brooklyn back within six. McCollum gets to the dunk. Durant. Nice pass. Simmons soars to the rim. But Nance is not letting him. Curry trying to shake Kirk Jones, who's such a good defender. Jones worked, but great move. Shot clock inside of ten. McCollum leans in and... Chance to make the all-star game for the first time. Year ten for C.J. McCollum. Back by Simmons. He's moving right. Catch and shoot. McCollum. ...was ten for 17 in the first half of deep. Durant cornered. Triple try. And he gets the friendly bounce. Yeah, we asked Willie Green about that. He said it's by design. Looking at their roster in terms of filling out around their star players. As Durant has... And both contested. And that's been Kevin Durant's story all year. A guy shooting almost 55% on off-the-bounce contested shots. That's obscene. And his career average of 27 is fourth best in NBA history. McCollum with the floater. In and out. But gets it back, thanks to Valanchunas, and that scores. And let's check in now with a third member of our crew. Here's Cassidy Hubbard. Yeah, guys, I had an opportunity to speak with Jacques Vaughn. Kyrie can start to cook in a hurry, too. And Cassidy mentioned Jacques Vaughn saying getting out and running as Claxton scores. New Orleans, they're good kind of passing this year. Claxton with the basket. Quick timeout by Willie Green. It's a two-point game. Eventually the playoffs come, and you have to perform. And so there's still a long way to go for him to continue to build. O'Neal for three. Got it! Irving. Cut off, but nice pass to Claxton. Puts it in. He is ready. Mentally I'm ready, and my teammates trust me. And whether he gets the defensive recognition for the end-of-year awards O'Neal for three. Hit it! Royce O'Neal gives Brooklyn a four-point lead. But Royce has put in the time, and I think one game is not going to disrupt the confidence he has on his perimeter game. Marshall gets all the way to the goal. Ridiculous, but especially if you look at the standings. I pick Golden State and Boston to get back. But it's really not ridiculous because Golden State's not at full strength right now. McCollum, pull up three. It's good. And New Orleans retakes the lead. You've got to hear from Kevin. People respect your work and your basketball IQ. Challenging the Stars against Claxton Durant this year. He's had three 40-point games, including last game against Chicago when he scored 44. I don't believe they're going to try to get this to Kevin with Posey on him. Gives it back up, though, to T.J. Warren for a three. Warren hits it. All your defensive attention is— How does that happen? Here it is. Hunter fires away from straight away, and he scores. But the— They're two games under .500. They're five games under .500 on the road. Griffin in the corner. Boy, he's with Bogdanovich, nine to shoot. Bogdanovich looks to get into the lane. Does. That's off and a round wins. LeBron James to Cutter. The dive is Christie with seven to shoot. Russ for three. Yes, sir! There he is. He's zeroing in on being the number one scorer in the history of the game. LeBron bullies his way in. Obviously, it's good basketball without AD. He was playing monster basketball when he went down. LeBron again will not be— To attack your lead leg and get to his right hand. Fourth quarter, winning time. Bogdanovich, though. Eight of them. Three different leads. Rolling is Christie. He gets doubled, so none is open. Oh, in rhythm. Breakers, 113-92. In charge, Collins. Champ, four-time MVP. LeBron James. Just outside of the free— Get Trey to take the much higher percentage shots the majority of the time. LeBron can do just that. That's what they've come to see. Oh, Collins. Bringing it back out on top. Orchestrating this time is Russ. Russ, oh, the burst and the backhand. He was just standing there because Russ went right by him. 18 for Russ, going on with nine rebounds and six assists. Once again, it's that duo, Young and Collins. Shape as Trey Young has developed a pretty hot hand here in the second half. He's going to try to attack the basket. The little floater is good again. Eight dimes and five rebounds. Twenty-three shot attempts tonight for Trey Young. Schroeder from the outside. Especially he does a good job of resting and letting teammates put the ball up the floor. Shut him out and give tacos here in the last minute, 46. There's your answer. No, no, no. And we'll just run out the string. Griffin will shoot and score. So, Lakers win this game without four key players. Austin Reeves, Troy Brown, Jr. Oh, Cole, that's a final. Atlanta is now 18-21.
