January Road Trip - Henderson Beach State Park Destin Florida | ZEPHYR TRAVELS - RV Lifestyle
In this video we continual our January Road trip to Destin Florida and stay at Henderson Beach State Park. We take a drive to Pensacola to tour the downtown area and Palafox Pier. And we check out Elglin Air Force Base and the Air Force Armament Museum.
We really enjoyed Henderson State Park, it is one of the nicest campgrounds we stayed at (in Randy top 5). You are right next to the Gulf of Mexico with easy access to the beach and just outside of the park you have quick access to all the restaurants, entertainment and shopping in the Destin area.
About an hour drive west along the costal highway we ended up in Pensacola. We did not plan our visit to this Costal City but enjoyed a walk along it's main street window shopping it's many stores and restaurants. We ended our walk at Palafox Pier where the bird entertained us as we enjoyed the Gulf views.
Our nephew suggested we visit Elglin Air Force Base Armament Museum. It is a great place to lear the history of the base and Air Force. Elglin AFB is the largest AFB in the country and has a vast history going back to before WW2. A great way to spend the afternoon while visiting Destin Beach.
