Crown & Caliber x HODINKEE Capsule Collection

I'm Mark Hackman. I work here at Crown & Caliber. You might recognize me from our YouTube series Hidden Gems. That's why it's a hidden gem. We created a capsule collection with Hodinkee. A little over 30 watches that we thought would be interesting for the Hodinkee audience and the Crown & Caliber audience to see some different, unusual, and also just highly important watches. And on top of that we did a three watch collection with Nora and Cole from Hodinkee. We each got to pick out our personal favorite everyday, evening, and weekend watch from the entire Crown & Caliber archives. That's probably the most fun you can have in this job. You're the watch geek that gets to go and play with all the toys and say, yes, that's the one I want. Like that's, that doesn't get much more fun than that. Nora and Cole came, you know, we got to chat a little bit and it's really fun getting to know each other and immediately start talking about the watches we have on. But then we got to give them a tour of our facility. If you're working the watch industry and then you get to come into a place like this where there are not many places that have this many watches in stock, refinishing facility and watchmakers and watch technicians, like the amount of equipment we have is very rare to come across in the watch industry. So it's fun to show that off to people who don't get to see that. The amount of expertise that is in this office is just like, it's a dream. I want to pick everyone up and like interview them for 25 minutes. It is seriously a special moment because a lot of companies have offices in different cities and you don't get sent down there to be like, meet these nice people and like learn from them. Coming from the New York office, huge focus on what it looks like and how it makes you feel. Then you come here, the focus, the watches. Rarely have I ever seen a ton of watches from the 90s and 2000s together and at this price point. I haven't seen a spread like that yet in my watch career. If you're someone who likes watches, at some point you've probably run across Hodinkee. It's a great place to go to learn and for me, I was a reader and a fan before we ever found out we were going to be the same company. Now we get to join forces with the people I've been a fan of for years. It's been better than I could expect.
