We've all been there. We purchase a piece of equipment that we're completely stoked about, only to realize it's going to take 8-12 weeks to get to you. Well, we said screw it, we're going to just build something ourselves.

To mount our SMRT Tent RTT to our RLD Design Canopy, we bought 4 pieces of 11 Guage 1"x1.5" Steele Tubing and drilled 3/8" hole on the ends where the channels of the canopy are located. Fastening them with some heavy duty stainless nuts, bolts and locking washers and slapping enough sealant to stop the Mississippi we then fastened four Front Runner quick release brackets to the rack.

The tricky part was getting the 160lb tent on top of Zeus as he's a BIG BOY. Thinking outside the box, we stepped the tent to our studio lighting winch and it lifted it with ease!

Pumped on how it turned out and I know you're going to love sleeping in this tent!

We prescribe to the age old saying, keep it simple stupid. No 10x entries, no bells and whistles, just an awesome membership with some UNREAL perks including discounts to our partners, premium content and first dibs on new SWAG.

Co-Founded by the creators of Restomods.com, we have always been enthusiasts of the outdoors and have been frequenting the dunes of Glamis, the peaks of the Sierra Nevadas and the ORV roads throughout South West Colorado.

We love trucks, we love camping, we love hunting and fishing and we love the outdoors. The freedom experienced outside the boundaries of pavement is what gets us up in the morning and the community of friends we’ve gathered in the sticks are what keeps us going back.

Our mission with Forged 4×4 is to continue building a community of like-minded individuals who appreciate nature and enjoy venturing to hard to reach places. It’s not the path that drives us, its the journey.
