Dahlias! Lots of New Plants & More Plant Shopping! Top Tropicals & Lowes & Home Depot
I started the week off with a houseplant / tropical plant unboxing from Top Tropicals. In the plant haul I got some Heliconia hirsuta, Heliconia andromeda, Heliconia rostrata and beautiful variegated Sea Hibiscus. I realized when editing that I didn't talk much about the heliconias, I will talk more about their care in a different video. I just love heliconia for their tropical flowers. The inflorescence is similar to flowers on bird of paradise, which is why they also have the name, false bird of paradise. Later in the video I went to Lowes to get a few things for the garden beds and pool, then of course ended up getting a lot more from there and then from The Home Depot. This means that there was another plant haul. I got a kimberly queen fern, some amazing forced dahlias, harts tongue ferns, creeping thyme, various sky petunias, silver squill, string of pearls and a great shrub to use for bonsai.
