Episode 62: For This Episode I am down in Greenville South Carolina with Miami Marlins Minor League Outfielder Thomas Jones. We sat down as he went over his very simple and limited Baseball Bag. With just Hitting Gloves, Catching Glove, and 3 Bats he breaks down why he uses these items and Brands. Be sure to give him a Follow on Instagram @ThomasJones08 & give me a Follow as well @ShotByHype.

How you doing? This is Thomas Jones. I play for the Miami Marlins. I was drafted third round in 2016.
I'm just gonna go do a little, little stuff I got.
Usually, you know, after getting done working out, go and hit at this place called Hit House
down the street. But, I mean, I always keep two pair of back gloves with me, man. Like,
these were my babies at first. Like, these are my go-to, but they kind of ripped on me. But
they still hold intact. But I always keep two pair. For some reason, my hands sweat like OD,
like, for some odd reason. But I always go with Franklin. Like, Franklin, like,
I've been swinging Franklin probably since, like, high school. And so, that's all I just,
like, wear now. Like, this kind of model. Like, I don't know if you can get a good look at that,
but Franklin, like, that's my go-to always. Then, with the gloves, Rawlins, like,
I'm a Rawlins fanatic. Like, if it's, like, there's no gloves better than a fanatic to me. I
pro-prefer it, as you can see. But this is Outfielders 12 and 3-4. But, yeah, this is
the top notch. Like, you know, and I always get the, I forgot what it's called, but this skin
right here makes the glove a little bit lighter for me. But, yeah, this is, like, the go-to. I'm
big, like, black on black. Like, because it's, I just think it looks classic and, like, real,
like, sharp. This right here, it's a Victus. I got this from one of my buddies. It's a 33 and a
half, 31 and a half. Maple. Pretty good wood. I've been swinging with this. Kind of got jammed
up on the machine a little bit. It's all right. But, yeah, pretty good wood. Really good wood,
actually. I've been swinging this now during the offseason a little bit. But I like this wood a
lot. I would say this is Birch. I got this from my good buddy, Cameron Meisner. I played with him
this past season. But, yeah, this is, I swing this pretty much every day. Like, this is my go-to
bat. This is, yeah, it's 34, 32. This is a bigger, bigger bat. But I swing this pretty much, like,
you know, because Birch, usually, it starts off, like, really soft. But if you use it a while,
like, hit with it on the machine, it gets, like, super hard. Like, it's, like, some people say it
gets harder than Maple. I kind of agree with them. But I'm slowly starting to like, like, Birch. Like,
it's really good. But, yeah, this is my go-to bat. Like, Louisville Slugger. But this is a
good bat. Shout out to Cam. Like, and he's a good baseball player, too.
Feeling that stretch. Nice.
This is, like, this is, like, one of my, I ain't really swung this. Like, I swung these
bats pretty much all throughout the season. This is another Louisville Slugger. This is the B4
1-5 model. Kind of similar to Acuna's model, I would say. This is 33 and a half, 31, like,
on the lighter side. But this is a really good bat. I kind of, I use, like, I had, like, three
of these bats, like, past spring training. And I was swinging with them. And I mean, like,
I thought it was the best bat I ever picked up in my life. Like, I think I swung, I had, like,
one of them, I swung it the whole offseason. And then, like, the second game of the season,
I broke it. Like, I thought my whole life was in, like, crumbles or whatever. But,
man, this is a good bat. I probably, I don't know, I'll probably start swinging this eventually. If,
like, if this bat ever breaks, I'll probably just go to this. But I don't know. But usually,
these are, like, my go-to bats. Like, that's what I'm, but it's the black. I call this,
this is the black bumby bat, I call it. But yeah, that's my, that's my go-to.
