Watch this video before staying at Rio Las Vegas in 2026!

Welcome to Rio Las Vegas. We're going to be staying here for one night. We're going to be checking out a tour of the new remodeled area as well as the old area. I'm staying in a newly remodeled Empanada Tower room so we're going to be checking out a room tour of that. We're going to eat here at Egg Slut and at the end I'm going to be giving you my full experience here at Rio. Be sure to stay to the end as I'm going to be giving out four Rio chips to four of you guys so stay tuned to the end to see how to win. Alright guys let's head inside. If you do park on the top floor of the parking deck that is how you're going to enter the Rio through this hallway and this is how you enter into the masquerade tower. This is the side that is not complete yet and when you first walk in you have a smash burger on your left and then on the right you're going to have the empire strips back a show here and then Wetzel's pretzels right next to that and you're on the second floor where they used to do the carnival in the sky and then if you keep going straight you can take the elevators up to the top floor to high stakes their steakhouse here it used to be called voodoo steaks now it is high stakes and then you have like a little trinket store here as well as their rock and roll chapel when you come down here you have the kiss world arcade as well as mini golf and the kiss museum is in there as well but you have to pay to go through but they do have the kiss car out here on this side this is phase two that they are going to redo here at the Rio so they have not started right now all the slot machines on this side are smoke free but other than that they haven't done anything over here they do have a wine cellar here the tasting room i have seen videos down there it's closed right now it is very nice they have a bar over here to the left as well as the venue they have a dinner show and a drag brunch show that goes on there and then over here is where they used to put on concerts and now it is just basketball games where people can come watch games pretty nice and then here are the elevators to the masquerade tower we are not staying in that tower that is the tower that's still not redone yet you do have a welcome to fabulous las vegas store here and then the masquerade bar here on the left they also have a circus ole-esque type show called wow the vegas spectacular back here you can get your tickets here for that and now we have the new carpet which is all this is redone right here we're kind of in the middle of the property you have a high limit slot machine area over here and then a little keno area right off the main walkway we're going to stay here on this main walkway and just do a circle around the property so as we keep going straight here we are going to run into registration for the hotel they are still working on different places here i believe this used to be like a purple zebra area and now that's closed and they're working on stuff here is the front entrance if you get dropped off by uber or lyft or taxi and then you have hotel registration here i just did the mobile online it was very quick and easy in the middle where the lobby bar is you've got the lapa lounge very cool lounge here they this was i think the first thing they redid and opened very cool in here very very well done then you have some table games here in the middle we'll stay here to our left and just do a circle we have egg slut which is now open here they were only at the cosmo and now they are here at rio we are going to try that tomorrow morning and then next to that is the sports book pretty nice sports book and then a little bar over here next to the sports book where you can play your games and get free drinks here are some of the rio rewards if you get a sign up for the real rewards you can get these deals there's deals everywhere if you have a rio card so be sure to get that if you're staying here on property and that's going to be everything on this side now we're at the back of the property where we have the food hall you have tender crush which is just a chicken tender place i'll show you the menu here you also have tony luke's which is a cheese steak place on this side you have shogun ramen attaboy burgers these burgers do look pretty good and then southland burrito co as well to finish out the food hall a very nice food hall this is where the buffet used to be and if you ask anybody who's been to vegas maybe 10 or 20 years ago this used to be the best buffet in las vegas but now it's a food hall which is the case for a lot of i did eat here in 2021 and i did not like it it's a funny story but did not like it all right let's head back and now we're gonna take a lift and go around the property this way the one thing that the rio has done very well is the restaurants and redoing the restaurants and the lounges where to sit everything is done very well and very nice casino floor is still pretty massive because it's under two buildings mostly seeing a lot of new games a lot of the older games are kind of gone all right right here on the left is lucky tavern and grill two dollar oyster happy hour between three and five also a very nice place they have records on the wall this is a pretty cool place and as we keep going around you're gonna have this is how you get to my room back here but you do have kang's korean barbecue i'll show you what they have it's an all you can eat and then behind that you have a starbucks for your coffee in the morning all right let's head back out and keep going left you're gonna have the cashier and rewards desk right off to my left and then a bunch of tables in the middle you're gonna keep walking through here looks like you do have another bar over here in the middle of the casino and then this used to be guy fieri's a mexican restaurant i don't remember what exactly it was called but now it is tacos del rio and it is connected to the pool right now it's nighttime so you can't really see much and then we are getting to the end of the property here down here you have on the left the kitchen table breakfast and lunch this used to be hash house a go-go but it looks nice now this property is a hyatt property as well so if you have status with hyatt they do do a breakfast for hyatt globalist and then right across from that is how you get to the pool and we will go out there right after this and the last thing that is down here is the pin and teller arena where they perform i really want to go see them but prices were incredibly high so won't make it this trip but eventually i will go see pin and teller very cool and then down this way is just convention center space and that is your tour of rio let's head outside so i can show you the pool so when coming out of the pool you're going to come out of these doors right here by the empanada tower you have to scan your key card to come out here and then you have one pool right here as a waterfall looks like this is mostly for the kids pool but this complex is incredibly huge and they've redone all of this as of last year you have one pool bar here but it's closed right now as the pool is closing in the next 30 minutes then you have this other pool right here which is shaped like a fish and you got another pool right here and then down these stairs you have the 21 and up pool with cabanas pretty nice and then you have another bar right over there and that is the pool complex right by the pool you do have a small functional gym with a few treadmills a couple machines and some free weights definitely will do the job but could get crowded all right now that we're done with the pool area let's head back inside so i can give you a tour of the suite let's head inside welcome to the room tour we are in room 337 on the third floor here in the empanada tower every room here is a suite so let's start at the front door when you walk in all right here is the door and as soon as you come in to the right you have the bathroom area we'll come back to that here in a minute and when you first walk straight you have a full length mirror all this stuff has been redone in the past year or two and you come into the living room area with your tv you have a very deep couch with a chase on the end of it two coffee tables in the middle that can separate and a little headboard for the remote control on the wall over here you do have a leaf lamp it is not very bright at all but it is pretty nice to have up on the wall it goes with the theming of the room my view is pretty nice for being on the third floor you have the strip view over there and then the masquerade tower right there which will be really cool at nighttime and i will show you that later all right coming back over here you have a little dining area with two chairs all this is brand new so it is nice everything is in good quality i don't see any stains anywhere which is very very nice the only thing i do see is wear and tear like here but honestly that is just so minor that it doesn't even bother me you have the ac unit over here and then you have the king bed now when i stayed here back in 2021 the king beds used to come with two pillows that were like the size of that like that was it and you got two pillows it was incredibly sad so i'm so happy to see that new ownership is putting in new pillows you get four of them on the sides of both sides of the bed you have a lamp here that has usb c usb as well as an outlet doesn't look like there is any other outlets that you can plug into in a very deep side drawer as well as some cubby space under it and then on the other side you're going to have a little clock that they have also with a usb and a usb c and the same lamp over here as well as the same drawer setup and the last part of this room you're going to have this big entertainment center very very deep cabinets that have nothing in it oh here we go this side has drawers so if you're staying here for a while you can unpack as well as in the middle you have two fridges one is going to obviously become a bar but this will be your fridge personal fridge which is very nice two paintings on the wall goes with the theme as well as your ice bucket and you have your telephone and a little lamp here does it work it does nice all right now let's head into the bathroom now these bathrooms i believe are still old as far as the countertops go and maybe even yeah definitely the drawers but the lighting fixtures and the mirror and i believe they upgraded this as well um are all new everything looks in good shape just one single sink even though you have all this space and then you have your closet i have my bag in here you have your iron iron board and your safe back here and when you go into the bathroom here you have another sink inside the bathroom that must be why there's just one random one out here i guess that's nice if somebody wants to get ready out there and if somebody wants to get ready in here you have your toilet that is also new and then the shower which is also brand new back in the old days there used to be a window right here that would look out into the living room bedroom area it was very weird and that's all new i will tell you how well that is at the end and it does come with your body wash your shampoo and your conditioner for the front door you do have a double lock area you have your lock here and your lock down here and that is going to be your room tour here at rio at the end of the video i will tell you how i slept how good the shower pressure is and my overall experience of this room but for now let's go get some food so i didn't end up eating dinner on site my best friend brandon who lives in vegas and his fiancee went to a burger place called with love always and i will talk about this place more in a future video where i showcase my top five favorite fast casual burgers in vegas so keep an eye out for that but i will say this place is amazing after that i just went back to the hotel one of the best things of rio is actually their garage if you come to the top floor because they have free parking you have the best view of the las vegas strip from the top of the garage good morning this morning i am heading down to breakfast to egg slut we're going to give that place a try so let's head on down to egg slut and then when we come back up i will tell you my pros and cons of the rio so let's head on down for breakfast we went to egg slut and this might look familiar as i showcased this place in my last video showing my top five favorite breakfast spots in vegas so go check that out if you haven't already seen that video they have another location at the cosmo but it always has a huge line so definitely check this place out here at rio it's a great breakfast with some upscale options and breakfast sandwiches let's head back to the room so i can give my final review all right so we just got done with our one night stay here at the rio las vegas and compared to my 2021 visit this one blows it way out of the parks now as i said in the beginning of the video i did stay here in 2021 i stayed in it was in poor poor poor condition it was very badly maintained it was a horrible horrible room now i'm in the empanada tower and it's completely redone it is very very nice the room itself very clean there wasn't a speck of hair anywhere so kudos to the house cleaning team they did a great job shout out to them the bed super comfortable if you like firm beds it is a more of a firmer bed but not a low quality firm if you know what i'm saying i like a more soft bed but it was still a great bed got about seven hours of sleep which is usually my normal as far as the property goes the casino floor was popping last night now it is a sunday on memorial day weekend so it is it is a popular weekend to be here but since we are off strip i did not think it would be that crowded it was popping last night so many people were here gambling having a good time all the staff who were walking around were very helpful i was asking questions everyone had a smile and was interacting with me so it was great had a good time here sadly i did not get to eat at the food court but i did have egg slut this morning so i can definitely recommend that to you but the food options here are pretty good i think when you have the real rewards card you can get a lot of good deals the attaboy burger had a deal for 9.99 for a burger fries and a drink and then i think the lucky tavern had something like that as well for 10 10 so there are good deals here cheaper drinks than if you were on the strip the pool area gorgeous redone you can get cheap cabanas here for like under 200 so if you're coming here just to enjoy the pool you can really enjoy the pool here without having a food minimum or 600 plus a food minimum somewhere on the strip i would say the only cons of this room is in the shower it's one of those half wall showers so like there's cold air that gets in through the back i mean i'm i'm really being nitpicky here some people do care about that but the water pressure was great and then the only other thing that i would say is a con about this room was the toilet paper it was like a strong one ply it kind of felt like paper but it was one ply and it was strong but i was only here for one night if you're here for multiple nights there's a cbs across the street i just recommend going and get some toilet paper across the street for like five bucks i think a lot of casinos or resorts don't spend money on toilet paper for some reason so but overall it wasn't a bad experience now who is the rio for should you stay here that's where i'm kind of confused because you can't walk to the strip i mean you can it's probably not the safest route to walk to the strip and it does look like the strip is right there as i'm looking out of the strip but it is not that close i would not recommend walking there just take the eight to ten dollar uber ride over there they don't have any shuttles that take you to the strip i think they used to back in the day day like 20 years ago but i'm not 100 sure on that i guess the only person i can think this is for i wouldn't say stay here on your first trip definitely don't stay here on the first trip i always suggest to somebody if you're coming to vegas for your first trip stay on the strip somewhere even if it's a lower quality place just don't stay at or the strat stay mid-strip somewhere you'll have a way better time for your very first trip to vegas the only person i can really think this is for is people who are vegas veterans like maybe people who have been to vegas 30 40 times like myself and are just here to relax at the pool or play cheap games because they had cheaper table minimums as you could see down there it was completely packed or if you're just wanting to come here to relax at the pool with a cheap cabana and some pretty decent food that's really all i can see this place for for somebody coming to vegas it almost feels like rio is catering more to locals which i'm perfectly okay with i think there should be more places that cater to locals i wish the strip catered more to locals because locals do not go to the strip now i haven't stayed at the palms which is directly across the street so i have no idea if i can compare these new rooms to palms but what i can say about palms is that it was just as busy as rio so these places are making a killing even though you're a block off the strip but for your pros great room great service clean room pretty decent food options and great pool for your cons you're off the strip one ply toilet paper and then the half wall shower that's really it i mean this place was great i would i would have to give this place a rating of probably i'm going to try not to consider the fact that you can't go to the strip i have a rental car so i can go to the strip whenever i want but i'm going to give this place an 8 out of 10 which coming from 2021 my rating was a 1 out of 10 this place has come up if you are looking to stay here though be sure to do the empanada tower and not the masquerade tower until they are completely finished remodeling it
