We are an ADVENTUROUS family of 6 who lost our son to SIDS in 2014. Our biggest regret was not having family videos of him when he was here and is why we started doing daily vlogs!

Hey guys, with New Year's next week,
I wanted to come and talk about making those New Year's resolutions and also
give you guys a few different ideas of how you can stick to those goals that you
made throughout the entire year. As you also saw in the title,
I wanted to include a legging slash workout clothing haul since getting fit or
losing weight or just being healthy is amongst the most common New Year's
resolution.
I've mentioned in several videos in the past that for me anyway,
one of the biggest keys to sticking to a healthy lifestyle is having several
workout outfits that make you feel confident.
Another key for me is to wear those clothes all day.
Here are a few reasons why if you aren't confident and comfortable in your
workout clothes, you will talk yourself out of even going out. Um,
you don't want to be seen at the gym if you feel uncomfortable in what you are
wearing. So right after I had Ezra,
I think it was at three weeks postpartum, I went into a workout store,
I grabbed a few outfits. I knew that they weren't going to fit me forever.
I needed to size up a little bit because I still had all that weight that I
needed to lose.
But I knew that if I didn't feel comfortable at the gym and I wasn't confident
in what I was wearing, that I probably wouldn't be sticking to it.
So this is something I did right after I had Ezra and it really helped me stay
consistent. And by constantly wearing my clothes throughout the day,
it really did help remind me of what my goals were.
So today's workout clothing haul is brought to you by Fabletics.
Make sure that you check out the link in the description box.
That way you can get two pair of leggings for only $24.
Now with that being said,
I have been living in this sweatshirt and these
leggings for a little over a week now.
You've probably seen me wearing them in a previous video.
I am obsessed with these. I love this sweatshirt.
I love these leggings.
I've tried on a few of their other leggings and I absolutely love them.
So how it works is you first take a quick quiz for your personalized outfit
recommendations based on your style.
The next thing you'll do is you will shop from thousands of styles that are
curated just for you.
Now when I was at this step and I was scrolling through the clothes,
I honestly was like, there's not one thing on here that I wouldn't buy,
but that's because of the little quiz that you take at the beginning.
They know your style, they know what you want.
If you're more into neutrals,
they're not going to show you a bunch of floral patterns.
You know what I mean?
It really does make the shopping experience a lot nicer because everything on
their website will be just for you.
The next thing you'll do is you'll check out as a guest or a VIP and the perks of
being a VIP is you get up to 50% off regular prices, free shipping,
and the best part is there is no commitment to monthly purchases.
As far as pricing goes,
you will not find this quality at the price anywhere else.
You all know that I wear the brand Alphalete and Lululemon and I have a few from
Victoria's Secret and I swear I've never paid less than about $60 per pair.
So you would get four pair of these leggings for the price of one.
I also love the details on all of these leggings and the fact that they are
squat proof.
Don't forget to check out the link below in the description box so you can be
sure to get those two pair of leggings for just $24.
I will also be sure to list each of the names of every single thing that I
showed. Now moving on to those new year's resolutions.
Statistics show that 95% of people who even make a new year's resolution has
already broken it by January 15th. However,
less and less people are even making them each year because they're sick of
disappointing themselves. You know,
why even bother setting a new standard for yourself if you know you're just
going to do what you did last year?
The problem I believe is that we set ourselves up for failure by expecting
perfection rather than progress.
You heard me say that 95% of people have already broken their new year's
resolution.
I don't like this statistic because it insinuates that if you fell short just
one day, then it's game over. You know,
there's no chance of you getting back on track and continuing on with your goal.
It sounds ridiculous because it is ridiculous.
Yet we justify this kind of thinking.
So this year if you really want to step up your game,
I think it's very important that you first recognize this kind of thinking so
that you can stop yourself from self sabotaging your goals.
Now as far as setting those new year's resolutions,
I like to set at least one major goal in the following categories,
spiritual, physical, financial, family,
personal slash habits, and my business slash career.
Now when you decide to sit down and write these goals out,
you need to really pay attention to the mood you're in and the kind of attitude
you have. If you're feeling kind of blah,
that is not going to be very inspiring.
You're not going to stick to whatever you wrote down.
You never had that initial excitement to even get started.
So you want to be in what Tony Robbins calls your peak state.
This is the kind of inspiration that can really carry you on throughout the
entire year. Now you might be sitting here thinking,
I don't even know what my resolutions are.
I don't really even know what my goals are.
And if that's how you're feeling right now,
I'm going to share with you how I get to a point of a peak state and discover
what my real goals are. And that's just by working it backwards.
So let me explain. I will have my list of all the categories out,
and then I will look at one, let's say for example, physically. Okay.
To discover what my true goal would be for my physical body,
I would picture myself at what I would look like at my very best.
So for example, if you could dream up your perfect body,
how would that look? What would your daily routine look like?
How would your energy levels be? By doing this,
it helps show me what I really truly want deep down inside.
And it helps me create a better system to achieve these goals.
The next thing I will do is I will create a monthly, then weekly,
then daily goal. So for another example,
if I want to strengthen myself spiritually by studying scriptures, by prayer,
by meditation, then I will break it down into a month goal. Okay, well,
what book in the scriptures do I want to get to by the end of the month?
Then I will break it down into weekly and then daily goals.
This helps me know what I need to do each and every day.
It's those little tiny milestones that really will make the big difference.
This is how I've always broken down every single one of my goals.
It makes the end result seem very possible and also helps you realize the
importance of those small daily wins.
What I hope you guys take away from this video is to really strive for progress
of any kind in 2019 progress is one of the biggest keys to happiness and that is
what makes us feel alive. You will have ups and downs this year.
You will have days that you fall off the wagon and also days that you feel
unstoppable, but the key isn't perfection. It's progress.
