What is Vantablack?
It is a brand name that provide super-black coatings using carbon nanotubes. The name is a combination of the acronym VANTA (vertically aligned nanotube arrays) and the color black. Known as one of the darkest materials, the finding of Vantablack is a coincidence.
A business situated in the UK by the name of Surrey NanoSystems created Vantablack. The business was started by Ben Jensen. It is a chemical that both provides an illusion that no one can see and is entirely undetectable. VantaBlack is unable to measure reflectance in any way.
VantaBlack has some useful applications, including:
- Is crucial components in telescopes and camera systems that enable more clearer stargazing.
- Add ghosting to the lens system so that it can record powerful light sources without losing image quality. like aiming a gun towards the sun. Eliminate ghosting.
- Make the watch face contrasty.
