I'm right outside Burlington Toyota here in Burlington, Ontario.
They're going to be your go-to guys if you have any Toyota related questions
about this vehicle or any other Toyotas. I'm going to put their link
in the description below. When we look at the front you can see
this nice flattened out Corolla emblem. We do get LED headlamps
as well. It's going to come with the Toyota safety scent so a lot of safety
features. I do like the curvy sporting peel which
continues on to the inside of the vehicle which we're going to get to in a
second. Under the hood of the XL Premium is the 2.0L
4-cylinder engine. It's going to come with the CBT
transmission with the intelligent shift mode. So there's a couple different drive
modes you can be in. 144 horsepower and 139
pounds-feet of torque. So when I jump inside I'm actually taken back by how
sporty this thing is inside. You get these kind of race-like driver
seats and the passenger seat. It does feel very
sporty with this two-tone cloth and all the blue accents that stand out
here from the center console all throughout the dash. The nice blue
black contrast is very nice. You do get the manual adjustable
driver's seat and then there is a power lumbar as well.
My only disappointment is you can't start it up with the remote starter.
There's no remote starter. You just got to put your foot on the
brake and you start it up and let's take a look at the controls.
I'm so happy I get to show you what's going on here guys. Look at all this cool
stuff here. Very kind of futuristic looking. How
everything flows throughout. These piano black accents are very sharp
and gives it a nice shiny clean finish. I imagine that will only last so long
as you drive the car. It might be hard to keep clean but when it's clean it looks
very sharp. Don't get me wrong. Leather wrapped heated steering wheel
and behind that is our 4.2 multi-information screen display.
That could be done better. Our gauge cluster could be done better but
the blue in the gauges and in the screen contrasts well with everything going on
here. You get six audio speakers as well.
You're also going to get this 8-inch touchscreen here
with obviously all our Toyota features here. We can do
the Android Auto, the Apple CarPlay, our Bluetooth for our phone.
Everything is kind of nice here set up. You can see there's different apps as
well if you want to connect to the Intune app
suite here. It's a very nice screen. I like that a
lot. Digital temperature control is down below so
you do have it heated on both sides and you do get the front
heated seats as well. Controls are here. So when you're driving this thing it is
a real pleasure to drive. One thing that I noticed right away is
the road noise. Very little road noise and cabin noise is very low. It's very
quiet inside. The engine is very quiet so that's definitely a positive in my
book. When I'm driving these small hatchbacks
that's one thing I look at. When you're going 40 or
50 kilometers an hour it doesn't really mean a lot but when you get on the
highway and you're going 100, 120 sometimes the road noise can just turn
a nice long ride into a very uncomfortable ride.
It does pick up pretty smooth. Mostly the driving that I've been doing is in
the economy mode so I do like that. It'll give you a
better fuel savings and acceleration wise you don't really
need to go out of it. I've always had been able to
accelerate. I've never had too many issues
passing on the highway, things like that. It does have the acceleration
that you need. Let's check out the backup camera.
Nice and easy. You can see it has the guidance lines. Very wide
camera. I definitely like it. Makes it easy to park especially with that rear
sensor as well. I do like all the safety features. I do
like the radar cruise control so it does have a nice cruise control
system as well so make it easier on those long trips and everything is
nice and comfortable. The seat is very comfortable. The seat actually really
hugs you. It really feels like a sportier car and
that's what you get with this XLE package. You get the more
sporty features as well so super fun to drive. I'm going to be
doing a comparison review of the Nissan Kicks versus this CH-R.
Which one should you buy? So stay tuned for that
next week. We're going to be comparing the SV to this one
and if you're shopping for entry-level crossover
both cars should be on your list but I think this one should be on your list
for sure. Toyota is definitely doing very well
and they're new to this hybrid technology as well. They're
kind of the innovators of this so I really like how this car drives. I would
definitely recommend checking this car out if you're looking for
a small hatchback or like a small crossover.
So that's a wrap on your video guys. Thank you so much for watching. If you're
new to my channel hit that subscribe button. I'll be uploading more 2021 videos
as they arrive. Let me know in the comments what you think of this
CH-R. If you have any questions as always I'm here for you.
Have a great day!
