Sanding RV walls is essential to preparing for painting the inside of an RV. While using a traditional sander and gritty sandpaper is fairly standard in camper remodels, we chose instead to use liquid sandpaper on the camper walls.

This cut down on harmful dust and debris and left us ready to prime the camper walls. It was incredibly easy to do and was very inexpensive.

In this episode, we take you into the process of preparing for painting the inside of an RV remodel by sanding RV walls with liquid sandpaper and priming camper walls for the first coat of paint.

We invested in a decent paint spray gun to help us in the process. But as you’ll see, this may or may not have been our best decision.

What was a great decision was choosing to use Heirloom Traditions paint for RV cabinets inside our 1999 Shasta Cheyenne Class C motorhome remodel. This paint is high-quality self-leveling paint that doesn’t leave brush strokes or need a top sealer on it.

As this was our second day remodeling our old camper there was a steep learning curve for exactly what it would take to complete the entire motorhome remodel.
