The terrible human rights record of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) against democratic protesters in Hong Kong, the Uyghurs in Xinjiang, the Tibetans in Tibet and some other activists in China have been well known. However, the infamous, large-scale and ongoing persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in every city and every province throughout China since July 20th 1999 has been inconspicuously known by the world, largely due to the CCP's powerful propaganda and infiltration into western mainstream media and other fields.

This video explains how the Falun Gong are the largest group that the CCP has been targeting to eliminate. When the persecution first began in 1999, there were 70-100 million people from all walks of life practising Falun Gong in China according to the Chinese government’s own estimate.

The reasons for the persecution are discussed:

--Falun Gong offers an opportunity for Chinese people to reconnect with Chinese tradition which has been systematically eradicated by the CCP's numerous political movements. When Falun Gong became popular, many thought true ancient cultivation came back. However, any revival of spirituality would be seen as a threat to the CCP.

--Falun Gong practitioners pursue Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, which forms a contrast to the CCP's ideology of violent revolution, class warfare and propaganda. It's very hard for the CCP to tolerate Falun Gong.

--A lot of CCP members also practised Falun Gong, which was seen as a threat to the power of the CCP's leader, Jiang Zemin, at that time.

--The 610 office, a secret police organisation similar to the Gestapo, was set up, and a nation-wide persecution campaign against Falun Gong was launched on July 20, 1999. In order to transform Falun Gong adherents, hundreds of thousands of them were put into labour camps, detention centres, jails etc. and tortured for the sake of achieving the CCP's target of removing its threat.

--In order to thoroughly eliminate Falun Gong, a systematic propaganda movement has also been deployed to demonise and then dehumanise Falun Gong practitioners. For example, the CCP fabricated the story of Falun Gong practitioners self-immolating in Tiananmen Square in January 2001. This incident, which was staged by the CCP, was a turning point in the CCP's propaganda campaign to force Chinese people to hate Falun Gong.

--Finally, it comes to the most inhumane part: harvesting live Falun Gong practitioners' organs in a large scale.

In response to the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners, in and out of China, launched the largest information freedom campaign in modern Chinese history, including 200,000 underground printing houses to produce truth materials and fearless efforts to distribute them throughout China, phone calls and emails to China from overseas practitioners, international media companies that broadcast uncensored information to China via satellite TV and shortwave radio, as well as ground-breaking Internet freedom software, Freegate and Ultrasurf, which allow millions in China to bypass the Great Firewall and reach entire sectors of the Internet that are blocked by the CCP, and more.

21 years past, Falun Gong has become stronger and spread to more than 100 countries. Ultimately, justice and truth will prevail!
