The Mooress of Moret Mystery - Daughter Of Maria Theresa Of Spain ? : Louise Marie Thérèse or even Sister Louise Marie de Sainte-Thérèse also known as the “Mauresse de Moret” (circa 1658 - 1730) is a French Benedictine nun from the convent of Moret, located in Moret-sur-Loing.
A great mystery surrounds her origins and the reasons for the many visits she received from the royal entourage under Louis XIV. Three hypotheses are presented: according to a first, she would be the illegitimate daughter of the union of Queen Marie-Thérèse and a black servant(possibly Marie-Anne of France, born in 1664); according to the second, she would be the bastard child resulting from a sexual encounter of Louis XIV and a black woman; according to the last, it would be a young orphan protected by the royal couple.
