Fried Doughnut Holes, Apple cider & Chocolate – Old Fashioned Recipes – Collard Valley Cooks
These fried doughnuts are soft on it inside and have a nice outside crunch! The Apple Cider ones are my personal favorite!

APPLE CIDER DOUGHNUT HOLES
1 CUP SELF-RISING FLOUR
1/4 CUP PLUS 1/8 CUP SUGAR
1/2 TSP. APPLE PIE SPICE
1 TSP. VANILLA EXTRACT
1 LARGE EGG
1 OZ. APPLE CIDER
Mix dough and chill 1-2 hours before cutting out doughnuts. Fry in 300 degree oil until golden brown. Doughnut holes should be small because they will double in size when fried.
Roll in 1 cup powdered sugar mixed well with 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.
CHOCOLATE DOUGHNUT HOLES
1 CUP SELF-RISING FLOUR
3 TBSP COCOA
1/4 CUP PLUS 1/8 CUP SUGAR
1 TSP. VANILLA EXTRACT
1 LARGE EGG
1 OZ. BUTTERMILK
Mix dough and chill 1-2 hours before cutting out doughnuts. Fry in 300 degree oil until golden brown. Doughnut holes should be small because they will double in size when fried.
Roll in Powdered sugar
