While the estate is kept very private, it's said to span 14,500 square feet of space and
is full of luxe amenities.
In addition, it's said Tom and Rita own properties in Malibu and vacation properties in Sun Valley,

In these videos we don't reveal any addresses and even though I've done a house tour of
my own place, please do not show up at any private residences because it's not safe

The uber successful couple have amassed a combined net worth estimated to be at 400
million dollars.
Which they've used to buy and sell beautiful properties over the decades, many of which
have been in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have been based in Southern California for many years, more
specifically the Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
This area borders Santa Monica and sits right along the Pacific Ocean, offering a stunning
atmosphere.
In 2010, the couple purchased their current home, which cost them a whopping 26 million
dollars and was dubbed a historic purchase price-wise at the time for the neighborhood.
Their massive, modern mansion sits atop a hill and spans about 14,500 square feet of
space with 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms throughout.
Meanwhile the lot itself covers an acre and a half of land.
Unfortunately, Tom and Rita keep their estate very private, but we do know a bit about the
place.
The property was built in 1996, designed by Gwathmey Siegel and Associates, and called
a San Onofre residence.
However, the home underwent substantial renovations in 2006.
The home was formerly owned by Hollywood producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.
Tom and Rita's impressive mansion reportedly boasts 3 floors, complete with plenty of balconies
to take in the view.
One of the levels was called a support space on listing materials, that it includes the
Outside, among the many amenities, the front yard offers a tree-lined motor court to park
the cars, circular terrace, and out back a cliffside swimming pool.
The couple also loves throwing A-list parties at their mega-mansion, such as the bash they
hosted in 2021.
Tom and Rita turned the occasion of their anniversary into a weekend-long celebrating.
They invited some of Hollywood's biggest stars and their friends to their property
for a low-key and upscale dinner.
Their guest list included the likes of the Obamas, Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate
Capshaw, and Bruce Springsteen and his wife Patti.
The couples have long been friends, and the Obamas, the Hanks and the Springsteens have
even vacationed together in the past, including a trip to Polynesia where their pal Oprah
also joined them.
Well, it seems this lavish estate Tom and Rita own is now worth even more than the sky-high
price they paid in 2010.
Now it's valued at over 28.5 million dollars.
Although Tom and Rita owned multiple properties at a time in Pacific Palisades a few years
back, they decided to put some on the market.
For over a decade, the couple owned 3 neighbouring homes on 4 connected pieces of land, 2 of
which they decided to sell.
The third one we haven't seen much of, but apparently Tom kept it.
Their homes were located in the Riviera neighbourhood in the Pacific Palisades along the Amalfi
Rim, where there's the exclusive Riviera Country Club.
Tom and Rita bought the homes in 2003 and 2007 for somewhere around 13 million dollars
total.
The smaller house of the two was a 1930s Spanish Revival style villa spanning 3930 square feet
which they bought for about 5.7 million.
This house came with 4 beds and 3.5 baths situated on half and 8 group land.
Surprisingly though, neither of the homes came with a pool.
The first home had exposed beam ceilings, wood floors and original fixtures.
There was a dining room, high end kitchen, step down, family room with fireplace and
wet bar, as well as a library and additional living space.
Outside the backyard offered a flat grass yard, fountain, sunken spa and views of the
canyon and mountains.
Tom bought the second and larger house for about 7.4 million back in 2007, and this one
spanned 7260 square feet of living space with 7 beds and 6.5 baths.
This home I think I preferred to the first, and it was built in an English traditional
style back in 1957.
The 3 floor home had formal living and dining rooms plus a large pub and billiards room
with an exposed wood ceiling.
This room, also known as the rec room, had a brick fireplace and full wet bar as well.
Another room here is the sun room lined with fringed doors which opens to the backyard
and the sky lit eat-in kitchen.
The bonus room here could be used as either a screening room or an entertainment room.
The master suite held a lavish bath and expansive walk-in closets, as well as 3 family bedrooms
also on the same upper floor.
2 guest bedrooms and a staff suite were located on the lower level, and the 3rd floor held
what was called a large playroom.
This larger home sat on over half an acre of land, with a double gated motor court and
3 car garage.
There were a few terraces and outdoor dining areas on the property as well.
Tom and Rita were successful with their sale of these homes, and one buyer bought them
together for a combined price of over 17.5 million dollars.
Finally, like I mentioned, Tom and Rita own a mysterious 3rd house along with these two
homes, but there are no records of them selling it, and they also seem to keep this one very
private.
Apparently, this ranch-style home sits on 2 pieces of land, neighboring the two which
we just saw, totaling 1.08 acres that were bought way back in 1996.
The house itself spans 4,267 square feet, but that's all we really know about it.
Let's check out Tom and Rita's first home they lived in as a couple, also located in
pacific palisades as you might expect.
A few years back they put this home on the market, but they owned it for quite some time.
25 years of their marriage to be exact.
Tom and Rita got this home in 1988 when they got married for 1.9 million, put it on the
market for over 5 million dollars.
The home spans a comfortable 6,289 square feet of living space with 4 beds and 5.5 baths.
Outside it was a Spanish colonial style mansion, and inside it had a mostly neutral and timeless
design with high ceilings, exposed beams, and open living spaces.
The master suite here had a fireplace, large en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet, terrace
with ocean views, and even a private beauty salon attached.
When it was listed, the home was described as a legendary villa, hidden behind private
walls and hedges, and of course there were gorgeous patios, greenery, and gardens outside.
It seems that this estate was only the beginning of the couple's love affair with pacific
palisades.
