December Fun - A Christmas Concert and Sushi
Some recent December moments :-)
The concert venue "Danmarks Radios Koncertsal" is part of the area of "DR Byen", the studios of one of our biggest TV channels in Denmark: "DR" - short for "Denmark's Radio".
The concert I attended was performed by Denmark's Radio's Girl's Choir, led by conductor Philip Faber. It was such a lovely experience to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere and Christmas music - with a specific focus on northern/scandinavian Christmas music.
In Denmark specifically, we have quite a unique tradition of watching and producing "Julekalendere" or "Advent Shows". They are our many different TV series, all comprised of 24 episodes with storylines leading up to and culminating on Christmas Eve. Catered to a family audience with smaller kids, the series all generally feature elves and Christmas magic and all have an element of a protagonist or main character/(s) who have to "save Christmas" in some way or other.
The concert I attended in this video had performances of songs from various of our "Julekalendere".
Going to Roskilde was also lovely - I've filmed there before showing the Viking Ship Museum in an earlier video, and I'm determined to also show the interior of the striking Roskilde Cathedral in a future video. Being A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Roskilde Cathedral is also the historic burial site of our Kings and Queens.
Stay tuned for much more content to come!
Background music in the video is written, played and performed by me.
