Solo Tarp Camping On A Windy Hill 🌤️ Wild Camping UK!

Hello world ones. Off out on a hill camp today. Fancy a change of scenery, something a bit different from the woods. I've got my tarp and my bivvy. It's pretty windy. I don't know how this is going to go. It might be a complete disaster, but it might be loads of fun. I'm going to find somewhere hopefully with some views and we will see where the day takes us. I'm wondering if I can pop up some kind of shelter in there in these little circle of bushes. I think I'll be quite well hidden. I've got a lovely view. Let's do it. I'm just using a plastic knot at each end to attach the tarp to a carabiner and that pulls it kind of taut. So hopefully that'll be okay. It's pretty cool, huh? The sun's gone now. Right, let's have a little look inside here. So cosy. This is the only little way in. This is the inside of my tarp. I am quite liking it in here. Nice. Lots of room to sit up in. I'm going to sort my stuff out a bit. So cosy. I like this little bump here. It's like my own little table made of mud. I don't know how I'm going to sleep because I'm on a hill. I think I'll be all right like that. Hey, loads of people out tonight. So if I lay here against this big muddy lump here, it's actually so comfy. It's really nice. I can sleep here just fine. I got my little kalimba today. It's one of these and it's really nice because it makes really plinky plonky music. This lasagna is totally smashed up like baby food now but it's so good. I know it doesn't look good. It tastes amazing. I've just been outside and you can see the Milky Way like with the naked eye which is crazy for around here because I'm only sort of suburban. I've tried to take some on my GoPro so hopefully it showed up. Oh my god, it's just so beautiful. I got really carried away and it's now gone midnight so I'm gonna get ready for bed now because it'll be light in a few hours. No bugs tonight, that's been nice. Right, let's sort this bed out. Oh my god, this silver mat is like a slice. What is it with hills? I'm wondering if I might be able to sleep the other direction so that I'm not gonna be sliding down a hill because I think this is gonna get annoying. Maybe a diagonal like that. I think I'll try that. So I've got me outkit hunker biddy and I'm gonna put that over everything because of the condensation dripping everywhere and in case I do slide down the hill and end up outside and it's raining or something. At least it'll keep me a bit drier. I've used my trekking pole here to like push the side of the tarp out a bit and keep that off my face in the wind so hopefully that'll be okay. That's not too bad. Right, let's get this in with me. I'm gonna use my eye mask tonight. I'm also gonna use earplugs tonight because of the wind. I don't usually like to use earplugs. I always bring her out with me but I worry that if there was something I needed to hear that I wouldn't hear it. But I'm sure it'll be fine. Good night wild ones. Morning. Morning guys. I've taken half the tarp down so it's like that now because it's a beautiful morning and I want to sit and make breakfast with the view. It's gorgeous. Ages to get to sleep last night. Ended up getting up again, having something else to eat and just looking at the stars. I saw like three shooting stars. I think someone mentioned there's a meteor shower going on at the moment. Yeah it was so beautiful. What a beautiful morning it is. The sun's not over the hill yet. Just making my breakfast. It's been a bit of a breaking stuff camp. I broke my camera. Oh dear. And I broke my tripod so never mind. The tarp was all covered in condensation this morning so it's like dripping on me. I thought I had a leak at first and then I realised it was all the condensation so something to bear in mind. And it was all wet on the outside as well so I don't know if it rained during the night when I was asleep maybe. I do love having a view. It's really nice. That's it from me for today guys.
