The 'Baptism of Christ' is a painting by the Italian Piero Della Francesca. The date of the painting is hard to determine, but it was painted after 1437.

The 'Baptism of Christ' is painted in egg tempera on two panels of poplar wood with dimensions 167 cm × 116 cm.

Piero Della Francesca (1415 – 12 October 1492), named Piero di Benedetto initially, was born in Borgo Sansepolcro, in Tuscany, Italy. He was an Italian painter of the Early Renaissance.

The composition depicts Christ being baptized by St. John the Baptist. A dove is flying above Jesus's head and looks like clouds in the sky. On the left are three angels in different clothing witnessing the event.

Piero Della Francesca made the painting as a commission for the small chapel dedicated to Saint John the Baptist in the Camaldolese abbey of Piero's hometown, Borgo Sansepolcro.
