Lol! "Bushcraft Moto Camping Catch & Cook"... Anyone heard of such a thing?" Was one of the thoughts I had when first considering getting an adventure bike. I figured, with moto camping, the only thing that changes is the mode of transportation. (If you were to title your camping experience, how would it read? Or, if you have title ideas for this video please share them in the comments below.

On this camp, I enjoyed setting up & sleeping under an oil skin tarp for the first time--finding and fashioning my tent stakes was fun. I carried water in a traditional goat skin bota (made in Spain.) I didn't use a hatchet or my Bush craft knife to process my firewood...It was lying around everywhere. I do enjoy that process (maybe I need to figure out a way to mount a hatchet on my motorcycle?) My experience was a hybrid of camping styles. I used some ultralight gear along with classic, old fashioned, kit. Do you enjoy using classic camping gear? I find it adds to an authentic camping ambience and blends into its surroundings a little better than the hi tech modern stuff.

Getting there is at least half the fun when you're riding a motorcycle! Talk about living in the moment! It's like flying really close to the ground but you're not in a plane or a car--you are out in the elements exposed, at high speed, riding a big engine on two wheels. Mine is a 2020 Husqvarna Enduro LR--which is a big dirt-bike that I've been tweaking into an adventure-worthy overlanding machine. I look forward to many more adventures on this beast.

This video was shot on a 360° camera. I like the immersive feel of the footage but the quality is not as good as I had hoped. For those of you watching this on a big screen TV I apologize. This video is best watched on a mobile device. I would appreciate your feedback. Is the immersive feel of the moving shots worth the compromise picture quality?

I believe, the best time you can spend in this life is spent in the wilderness! It takes time to unwind and start soaking in some of that mother-nature goodness! I've been known to lay down in the shade with my dogs but I generally keep myself busy fishing, setting up camp, maybe some bushcraft tinkering. Then there's the all important camp cooking. I figure, If everything taste better when you're camping, I'm going to take advantage of that and make the best food I can. It's like icing on the cake of our camping experience and it makes every camp memorable.

As many of you know, I am an inventor and much of the gear I enjoy in my video is of my own design. Firebox Outdoors LLC produces and or sources, the gear I want and use for my own adventures. Then we make it all available to our beloved customers who seem to enjoy it as much as my family and I. I prefer elegant high-quality camping kit that I know I can rely on to function well and enhance my camping experience. I enjoy luxuries but I've learned that gear needs to be efficient to transport, easy to deploy, and enjoyable to use, or it will get left behind. I also like my gear to contribute to an authentic camping experience. Please take a minute to visit my web store. I have an A-Team of very good people to take care of your customer service needs and get your order shipped, accurately, same or next day. I stand behind all the products we offer. Thanks in advance!
