Llamas, Camels, Zebras and Zonkeys OH MY! | RV Life
We visit the wild animal safari and are ambushed by hungry llamas, zebras, ostriches and a stubborn camel. This drive through safari park near Springfield, MO was also where Scott got attacked by a zonkey (zebra and donkey mix) a few years back, making him understandably scared of the entire event.
Plus we made new friends with a full time family, Extra-Ordinary Journey. They renovated their RV and gave us a tour of this amazing custom rig! And we got to go for parents weekend at college to visit our eldest child! What an exciting and busy weekend!
We stayed at Rustic Meadows RV Park in Strafford, Mo and it was amazing. They have a great barn with an indoor playground, tons of games, library of DVDs to borrow for free, a projector for movies and places to hang out. We got to meet one of the owners and he's dedicated to making the park a great place for everyone.
While we were there, we found something even better than all the park amenities: new friends! Kelly, Reg, Bud and Abby from Extra-Ordinary Journey are just about the most amazing people we've ever met. We got to spend some time with them before they go back on the road full time. And just wait until you see their customized RV! Holy moly, they have turned a tiny space into something amazing and so functional!
Scott got to face his fears at Wild Animal Safari and Katie got to frollic with the animals!
Oh, and we got to see Morgan's dorm finally!
