What up, what up? Will here with the Baseball Bat Bros and today folks,
we have our last set of bats for Wood Bat Madness 2.0, our reinforced wood. Let's get it.
Alright folks, three out of four bats have their ticket punched to the final four and we have one
more spot for one of these four bats. These are all like the closest thing you can get to a real
wood bat, right? These are technically wood composites just because they have kind of a
carbon or even like plastic sleeve over the handle. Just a reinforced durability sleeve
essentially, right? So these are all just pretty normal maple wood bats. We have an Easton Maple
110 here, a KR3 Eagle Magnum 243, a Dovetail Carbon Fiber Handle i13 and the Brett Bros Maple
Master 110. One final spot for Wood Bat Madness 2.0. Let's get it. Alright folks, we're starting
out with the Brett Bros Maple Master. We did a review on this one. It looks terrible. Like the
barrel doesn't really kind of freaking plateau out until way out here, but it was surprisingly
really, really good wood. Oh yeah. This thing can bang, so let's try it out. That might be a sleeper
Hands a little bit there. That ball's moving. Alright, it's just a deceivingly hot bat.
That's, dude, that sounds the part, bro.
Sounds good. Alright, I think we got it. I think we got it. Oh yeah. Just, it plays a lot more like
a 271. I think the 110 is not a good representation of what this turn model is. Definitely swings
much more like a very kind of light, very whippy 271. Alright, moving on to the Easton 110 wood
composite here. Really bad on the hands. That one's stiff, dude. Oh, that one hurts your hands a lot.
This is definitely much more of a true 110. Kind of a thick neck and kind of a smaller barrel.
Oh, there we go. Alright, solid bat. It's not very loud. It's a little bit quiet compared even to
the Brett Bros. Alright, it almost kind of sounds, it has like that slap sound to it instead of a
crisp crack. Yeah, really stiff, but not, I just feel like it's not very good wood. Alright, now
we got the Dovetail i13 CF i13 SD. Dovetail is a pretty big time company in Major League Baseball.
I'd say this is probably the favorite going into this. I like the Dovetail. That one sounds really
good too, bro. That's just light as can be, dude. That's crazy. I thought I was like toast on that.
I thought I was gonna get my hands wrung up and just zip. That bat seems good, dude. Like that
was a miss hit. Like that's pretty flexible. Yeah, off the end didn't hurt at all.
Okay, that was way on the hands and that didn't hurt at all, dude.
This is like, this kind of feels like the Rawlings wood composite, the lighter version
of it, the 110. Just nice and flexible, freaking not gonna, yeah, it doesn't hurt.
I like this.
Easy to swing. Not an i13. We have a few freaking mislabels on the turn models here.
This is maybe a 141. This is not an i13. This is whippy. You've hit nothing but missiles with that
one. That is the most enjoyable bat to swing by far, dude. This one's sick. All right,
and then here's a bat we've probably got the most requests for. Sounds like a bunch of you
dudes down in like the Dominican freaking love these bats. We have the KR3 Eagle Magnum 243.
You guys specifically told me to get this specific model. Heavy. Heaviest out of all these bats.
There we go. That's hammered. I don't like how thick the handle is. Yeah, it's not,
like you were saying, man, the sound's not quite as crisp. The wood isn't as good. It's just,
that seems like a low density cut. Yeah. I said it the first time I swung it. Yeah,
because it's like, I feel like I can control it better, but some of the balls I'm hitting,
they're not going anywhere. I will say it's pretty easy to swing for how big the barrel is,
kind of easy to swing 243, but the wood feels a little bit soft to make a 243 like to swing
like that. You do have to soften up the wood a little bit. There we go. That's really good
barrel. Come on. Oh bro. It's just, okay. Cause I like this turn model the best. Like this has
the most barrel, but the wood is hotter on the Brett Bros and the Dovetail for sure.
Dude, that was pieced up. At least halfway up that thing. You still think the Brett Bros and
the Dovetail are hotter? Yeah. I mean, it's a great bat. You got to put a lot of effort into it.
Okay. One more with all of them here. Yeah. That's crazy. Whoa. That's the hardest hit
ball of the day, dude. That thing's so good. I'm really glad we reviewed this because we
actually have some evidence to go back and say like, yo, this thing's actually good.
We're having the same reaction we did a year and a half ago, bro. I think I probably liked this one
least. You really have to muscle through it, man. It's not very good. It's really hard to find this
one in stock anyway, so I don't feel too bad about it. There's not many of these left. I think this
pretty old model anyways. Easton and Rawlings being the same company now, I like Rawlings
wood composite a lot better. I like Easton's metal bats a lot better. Oh, that's gone.
Oh, man. All right. This is the easiest one to swing, and I think it has the most forgiving
barrel for how light it is. Yeah, this one's flexible, really easy on the hands,
and it's easy to swing very hard, and you still have some barrel to throw at it.
That feels like a very good quality kind of pro-level wood bat. And then this one's in
the conversation for sure. I think I agree with you that the Easton's the worst one.
This one, I don't want to count it out quite yet. This might be a video where we want to
ex-a-vivo test three of the bats. I like the amount of barrel this bat has.
That's pretty good. It's like, because it's a lower density cut of wood, you get a ball towards
the hands a little bit that still kind of rings you up a lot. Like, it just doesn't power through
the ball a ton. One more with this. Yeah, I'm having a hard time really getting perfect on
the hands. I want it to be better, bro. I know, because it swings so good. Yeah, it swings good,
the weighting's good. It looks the best. I'm just not getting kind of the same results out of it.
All right, Trace, so you got your four bats here. Pick your two bats to move on to
ex-a-vivo testing. Well, for one, the Fragile A Christmas Story Lamp Bat.
That's a good callback. You hated that thing? I did not like that at all. Really? All right.
For me, the KR3 was a great bat. You know, I love 243s, so obviously I'm going to like it. But
the wood, just not that great. The swing weight was really nice. Balls in the hands,
you didn't feel it very well, and I think that's just because the bat is just kind of a dud.
A low-density cut of wood, yeah. The DTB and the Brett Bros, just harder wood. All right, folks,
then for me here, I'm probably counting this one out. Really wrung up the hands, and the wood did
not feel that, like, dense. Not very high-quality wood. This one has to move on to ex-a-vivo testing.
I think this one might win the ex-a-vivo test. This bat's really, really hot. Dovetail just
felt fantastic. As far as the turn model goes, and the flexibility of the bat, and how it felt
on contact, this was the strongest performance hands down. Like, this felt like I was swinging
a freaking Marucci Pro Cut. Like, this was a really, really good bat. Definitely moving on.
And then this one, I think I'm going to kind of do the same thing I did with the McDougal.
Kind of a pity vote. I liked the turn model. I think it swung really nice for how big the barrel
is. Just the wood felt kind of a, it felt like kind of a dud, you know what I'm saying? So,
I want to give this the shot on the ex-a-vivo tester, even though if I had to say I'd probably
put this in third place overall. I do want to see how it performs on the hit track. So,
KR3's kind of getting my pity vote, you know what I'm saying? So, those are my three.
All right. Starting out with the Brett Bros. You can find these for super affordable.
I think this might shock the hit tracks here.
Hands a little bit. 91.4. Maybe I'll run them all. 96. Okay. 96.5. I thought that would have
been even better there. Oh, there's not much barrel on this. That's the downside. So,
I could see the Dovetail winning an average ex-a-vivo at least.
96.8. Oh, wow. I freaking did not expect to get to that ball. Jeez. 92.9. Okay. We'll switch to
the Dovetail here, then get like one good one at the end of each. All right. The Dovetail,
definitely a more expensive bat. Looks a lot better. Just a better taper on the barrel.
Much better taper on the handle as well here. 96.3. End of the bat for 93.9. I think this is
the best bat here. This bat's sick, dude. Way up in the zone for 94.1, 371. 97.6. This just is a
better bat to swing. There's a lot more barrel on it. The swing weight is like almost the same.
This is a really light, easy bat to swing. Definitely more flexible, and we got a little
better ex-a-vivos there. We'll get one more perfect, perfect for each bat. We can't even
crack 97. Come on, freaking Brett Bros. I'm still going to say like for 100 bucks or whatever this
bat is, like that's an awesome deal. It's going to be durable, relatively easy to swing, and it's
hard. Oh, we have a new hole in the net, my friends. I'm sorry. 399 for 97.7. Oh my gosh.
All right, Dovetail. What you got? I just hit it on the barrel like every time. 96.1, 380, 96.2,
383. So it's like pretty close on perfect, perfect, guys. I even think this Brett Bros. bat
might be hotter. I think this is a better bat. It is lighter. It's much more forgiving,
has a much better handle and barrel taper, doesn't ring you up at all. They're both
going to be pretty durable. This is a little bit hotter, a little bit heavier,
a much more clunky handle and everything. It rings you up a lot more, but it's a lot more
affordable. Not trying to be biased, but like just this is a much better hitting experience,
in my opinion, and I think the average XW bows are probably a little bit better on this.
So we're going to go with the Dovetail, baby. All right, and the people want to see it, folks.
Few honorable mention swings with the KR3 243 Eagle Magnum. Tons of barrel here. The handle's
super thick, which I'm not a huge fan of, but let's see what we're at. This is heavier than
both those bats. 93.2. Not quite. Maybe a little bit off the end there. Oh, not quite a mile. So
really big barrel, like it's giant freaking barrel, especially like compared to that,
it's not even close, right? It's just a lot heavier. The handle's really thick and clunky.
I don't think the wood's quite as hard. You have to use a little bit less dense of wood
in order to get a barrel this big. We'll try to get a couple more here. Let's get a perfect,
perfect. 95.8. We'll give it one more chance. I can't pick this bat over those
when those are so much easier to swing than this, and they're just as hot. Oh,
that's as hard as I'm going to hit it. 97. All right, that's a really good bat. If you can find
one for a decent price, this is a really good option. Obviously a ton of guys love it, but
those two bats are sick. All right, folks, so the Brett Bros put up honestly a really impressive
showing. I just think the Dovetail is a slightly better overall bat. These are both going to be
durable, especially that Brett Bros bat. That one's going to be nice and affordable,
guys. If you want a good, hot, affordable bat that's going to be decently durable,
that is an awesome option right there. If we're looking at performance, folks,
I think the Dovetail is the best swinging bat out of this bunch, and I think it has a legit
shot in the Final Four. I still honestly think that Rawlings wood composite is the front runner,
but you are going to see the Dovetail i13 reinforced maple in our Batmanist 2.0 Final
Four, so we appreciate you guys hanging out. If you like the video, make sure to drop a like,
