What up, what up? Will here with the Baseball Bat Bros and welcome to Wood Bat Madness 2.0. Today
we have our first super regional, our wood composites. Let's get it. Alright folks,
if you have not watched our bracket reveal video, make sure to go watch that right now,
but today we have the furthest thing from a wood bat that still counts as a wood bat,
our four wood composites. A couple bomb bats and some DeMarini wood composites.
We have the bomb bat end load, the bomb bat balance, the DeMarini wood end load,
the DeMarini wood balance, essentially. Myself and JT are going to hit all four of these. We'll
each pick our top two and the top two will move on to a one-on-one hit tracks exit velo showdown.
So let's hop on field and try out these four bats and see what will be our wood composite
super regional champion. Let's get it. Alright, first bat, we got the bomb bat gold maple end
load 3330. Out over the plate there. Alright, short hop. That was a decent barrel. Off the
hand and tiny. And these four bats here are probably actually the most durable group out
of all of these. It's very rare you're going to see a bomb bat or a DeMarini wood composite break.
I think they both have like one year warranty. So yeah, good amount of barrel.
I didn't backspin that well. Dude, that was hammered.
Damn. All right. Yeah, that was like way too extended. All right, now we got the bomb bat
gold maple balanced version. Just the standard bomb bat. Dude, just a lot less barrel.
It's so hot though still. Like I would say the pop is probably the same on this. Like we've done
exit velo tests and this thing's stupid hot. It's a little bit lighter though and a lot less barrel.
It'll ring you up quite a bit, especially with the new maple wood they use. Yeah, just you have
to be more precise with this one. Less barrel to work with, less room to miss. Just mentally,
I don't feel as comfortable with this because I know it'll just kill my hands if I miss.
Oh, come on ball. All right, just hammered. Tons of juice, really easy to swing.
Just not forgiving. It's super hot though. All right, now we have the DeMarini wood composite
D243 maple. This was Cam's summer ball bat. These are all 3330s by the way.
So much more give. Most barrel by far. The swing weight's pretty similar to the bomb bat end load.
Yeah, I got beat a little bit there. It still feels good, man.
This has the sweet spot of like a metal bat. That's gonna go. Get out ball. Oh yeah, oh yeah.
Dude, that was a sleeper, bro.
I got into that. All right, that's a good poke, dude. I have a very clear two bats.
All right, now we have the lighter swinging, smaller barreled version of the DeMarini wood
composite, the 271. This one has a cupped end as well. That's such a weird feel, dude.
It's like somehow heavy. Dude, it's like as heavy as the other one.
That kind of felt good. Oh, what the heck? That was hammered. Dude, it's like,
dare I say heavier. What? That makes no sense. It's like a club almost. I thought this would be light.
Yeah, it's like the weight is further out and it's like way flexier feeling.
That's off the wall. It's hot though. It's almost like, dude, you know what it reminds me of?
The corn dog. It has like corn dog vibes. Dude, it's hot if you get it though. You might swing
this one well. Dude, what? Oh my gosh. We've never even swung this one. Remember we did our
DeMarini wood composite video? We're like, that bat looks horrible. We're not going to swing that,
but that's the same thing with the corn dog. Dude, it almost has a similar barrel profile.
There's no barrel on that visibly, but the weighting low-key works.
This has the most forgiving barrel out of all four bats and it's not close. I think on the
hit tracks on Perfect Perfect, this will get the highest exit view of. I agree. Definitely.
There we go. If I let it get deep, I'm not going to get rung up with this.
This has the smallest sweet spot out of all four bats. It's really light and I know the end load
will beat it and exit below. So this is an automatic, like that's not going to make it,
right? This one is complicating things. This one's weird. This is like the corn dog. It's so
non-traditional and so weird and the weighting is not what you would expect at all, but it's
pretty good. It's like they cupped to the bat and like unintentionally made it extra end loaded.
Like it just, however they did it, I don't know if it was an accident or what,
it plays like an uncupped 271 and it's like sneaky good. I'm not going to lie,
I was writing this bat off before we even started this and here it is surprising us.
That's so weird. Last swing of the day for me. 35 degrees out and you hit it that far.
Perfect. Perfect. I knew it, bro. I would say that's just like, that bat's hard to hit with.
That's what's weird about it. It's literally difficult to hit with, but if you catch it,
oh my God, dude, that might be, that's one of the furthest like balls of hit here. All right,
JT, we got to pick a few bats to exit below test here. Uh, I think there were three bats that did
really well. I think that bomb bat balanced probably doesn't deserve to move on. I would
say that was probably both of our least favorite. Um, dude, if we have three good bats though,
I think we can bring three bats into test. Did you have one clear favorite today? The D two 43.
That I think was the best hitting experience. It felt really good. Like off the end and jammed.
It's still, it's still kind of traveled. It just felt good. That was the funnest bat to hit with.
Cause again, you had room to miss. It was loud. Still waiting was good. Waiting was good. It
still had some decent juice. Um, I almost feel like both of those bats are hotter though.
Like on exit below, like I think on exit below the DeMarini two 71 and the bomb
and load might actually beat that. But I think, dude, I think they might all deserve a shot.
Mason's been telling us don't sleep on it. Don't sleep on it. Yeah. I just never saw it. I guess
he's right. All right, fellas. Then for me, uh, I definitely think this, the DeMarini two 43 and the
bomb bat and load are my two favorites. Uh, this has that corndog effects where it's just super
gas on some swings. The way JT swung it, especially, I feel like we have to include it.
So I feel like this is a good matchup where we got to include three bats and exit below. This
was definitely the hottest bat. Like if you barrel it up, perfect, perfect. It's the hottest
bat. It's just challenging to actually do that. It'll fricking ring you up if you miss. And then
this was like the best hitting experience. I've said it a lot. This kind of swings like a two
piece hybrid, really forgiving and get off the hands off the end. It feels nice. It's just
kind of lacking the pop on perfect, perfect that honestly like the DeMarini two 71 and the bomb
bat and load have. So I think we do a one-on-one-on-one bro. That's going to be, that's
going to be good. All right, folks, exit Eagle time with our wood composites, the DeMarini two
43, the DeMarini two 71 and the bomb bat gold maple and load. Let's see what is the hottest
out of these three. And we'll move on to the final four in here at Fenway park on the hit tracks at
PDX Eastside training. Let's get it. Starting with the two 43 DeMarini wood composite
kind of off the end. 91.2, 91.7. It's almost perfect. Perfect. Dude, just not that high as
he looked. 93.5. It's like the meta of wood bats. So much barrel and everything feels pretty good.
It's just not as hot. 92.9. Come on, man.
95.9. There we go. 87. Yeah, not quite. We got 95. We're going to be kind of hooked, but
mostly like 93 for our high, definitely softer than a wood bat, but it feels much better to hit
that's not going to win. All right, folks, the DeMarini two 71, maybe a little hotter.
Definitely a smaller barrel here. It's pretty similar. I think it's probably a little bit
hotter if you get away out here. So very different bat, but I'll see if the two 71 can get us some
better. 93.3. Oh, this is going to be it for sure. It's the, it's like the corn dog in disguise.
Kind of had to suck my hands in right there. I mean, that's a good pose. 86.7. I can hit it
harder with this one, but it's harder to catch barrel. 95.4. That's right there on our high.
Oh, there it is. 96.7. That's a really similar hit to the two 43 as well. Less barrel,
kind of a weirder bat to swing because again, just the weight is clear out here and the sweet
spots are clear out here. A little bit better exit below though on the two 71 compared to the
two 43. I think the Bombat's probably going to win. All right, the Bombat end load, the gold
maple version here. I think I've almost cracked a hundred with this before, so I'll really expect
this to win. It's going to be stiffer, a little tougher on the hands, but pretty similar swing
weight to that two 43. Let's get it. 86 on the hands for 91. Off the hands of those other bats
was typically high 80s. Oh, that's going to win. 98.8. Put the nail in the coffin here.
Almost. One more. Get out. Yes, sir. 385 over the monster. 95. All right. Didn't get 100.
98.8 though. That's going to put the Bombat end load into the final four. And there it is, folks.
Not super surprised there that the Bombat gold maple end load will move on to the final four
and is your wood composite super regional champion, folks. These DeMarini wood composites,
they also have the I13 and the 110 that are both very good bats. I would actually recommend that
for kind of more of a contact hitter or a younger guy, and even a guy that's alternating between
wood and metal very often, because that is a really flexible, good kind of forgiving barrel
on these bats here. If you're new to wood bats, you'll definitely like these a lot more.
That Bombat's pretty stiff. But if you're looking to put up some Exit Velo numbers, folks, and
maybe you're in more of like a full wood bat season environment, that Bombat end load is freaking
heat. Our very clear Exit Velo winner just rings up the hands a little more. That thing can bang,
folks. So next time we will be back with alternative non-traditional woods. We have
hickory, bamboo, and guayabe to see what will join the Bombat end loads. We appreciate you guys
hanging out today. If you like the video, make sure to drop a like, subscribe to the channel,

Peace out.
