Welcome to another video. This is Cars Unlocked. Today, I'm going to be presenting to you
the 2021 Nissan Versa SV. Let's get to it. So for 2021, Nissan has brought back the Versa
to Canada here. It comes in three trim levels, the S, the SV, and the SR. I filmed the SR about a
month ago, and now we're reviewing the middle package with an MSRP of $19,498. This one has
a lot of higher-end technology that you're not going to get in the base model. We're going to
go through those ins and outs. If you're new here, welcome to my channel, guys. My name is Christopher.
This is Cars Unlocked. I just want to say thank you for watching. To all my loyal subscribers,
thank you so much for watching my video. All the support has been fantastic. Do not forget to
comment any questions you have about this vehicle or any other vehicles in the comment section below.
I'd be more than happy to answer to them. Let's jump into this vehicle and check out the side
profile here. Being the SV model, right away you notice some of those features that you get with
the middle package. You have things like body-coloured handles here, and that comes with the
middle package. The other handles are just black on the S model. When they redesigned and brought
the vehicle back, you can see they kind of blacked out this back pillar here, giving it that floating
roof look that Nissan started a few years ago with the Nissan Maximas and the Nissan Muranos.
Our V-Motion grille is in chrome, and right in the middle of it is our flattened out Nissan
emblem. This one does have the Nissan safety shield, so you get things like forward emergency
braking, blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, so there is a lot of high-end safety
features for a vehicle under $20,000. Our headlights are going to be halogen projector
headlights. They are automatic on-off, and when you go up to this SV package, you do get the fog
lights down below. On the rear, there is these nice parking sensors and the backup camera that's
going to make it easy for you when you're parking. It does actually have a lot of trunk space. My only
beef is that there is no trunk release back here, so you either need to pop the trunk from the inside
of the car, or you need to use the key fob. You can't come back here and pop the trunk like the
other Nissans, but when I pop the trunk, it opens up. It has about 416 litres or 14.7 cubic feet of
cargo capacity, so for a small sedan, there is a really large trunk. Let's talk about some of the
technology and the drive of this car. When you go up to the SV, you get a few added features. Things
like the blind spot monitor, which is going to come up right on your mirror, the rear cross-traffic
alert, so it will notify you if something is driving behind you as you're backing up, maybe
someone on a bike or another car. You also get the larger touchscreen, so you have this 7-inch
touchscreen here, and that's one thing you get when you go up to the SV. I am happy with the drive of
the Versa, the 122 horsepower. It's not a lot, but you're not buying this car for the pep and the
pickup. This is great in an urban environment. For a vehicle that's under $20,000, it does have
quite a bit of technology in it. Am I a fan of the white and black interior? I'm gonna say no.
I wish they just went with an all black interior. I don't know why they put all this white stuff in
it. It just kind of gives it a nice two-tone contrasting look, but they could have done
better with the white, especially on the seats. The seats look very plain and fake. They are
comfortable, don't get me wrong. When you get the SV, you also get the digital temperature control,
so they are heated seats, and then you have the digital climate control, which you can adjust just
like the thermostat in your house. So overall, for under $20,000, you do get a lot of high-end
features, like the forward emergency braking, that blind spot warning I mentioned, this nice digital
information screen here. So I would recommend this if you live in an urban city and you do a
lot of just quick commuting here, you're not doing long drives. The Versa is great for getting in and
out of tight parking spots and does have a lot of safety features. There's a few features that I
could do without. Things like the rear door alert or the intelligent driver alertness, so it will
alert you if you're just staying in one static position, keep using the cruise control. It will
notify you to pay attention to the road, which obviously you're doing. If you're on a long road,
you're obviously not going to change the position of the wheel, but it does come with a lot of
technology for an entry-level vehicle. Like I said, the Android Auto, you have the Apple CarPlay
integration when you go up to this SV model, so I'm happy that they added that. A lot of young
buyers do really like that and that's one thing you need in these cheap cars because that's what
the young buyers are purchasing. So thanks so much guys for joining me for another video. Let me know
