How to remove wire insulation without cutting the inner wires

Welcome back everybody. I just want to show you how I pull the insulation off of larger wires like this without damaging the interior wires. So what I do is just put some pressure on that wire and then I just push the blade down. I'm not pushing very hard and the pressure from squeezing that wire for that insulation pulls it apart. See it's starting to come apart there. I'm letting the squeeze do all the work. I know I'm not cutting into anything else. I'm not really putting a lot of pressure on this blade at all. Most of the work and the cut is being done with the stretching of that outer liner. There it is. Let's see if I got anything. There it is. Nice clean cut without damaging the inside. Have a good one.
