Welcome little friends to a new video
Today we are going to be looking at Arteza
The watercolor pencils
Let's see how they are
The truth is I'm not
really a fan of watercolor
pencils but let's see Doña
Ale gave me these pencils
And he said to me like
that "To see " "Let's
see what you do with this
" And it was like that
I was given a challenge because I
didn't know how to
use it The truth is
the first ones I used were Derwent and they really weren't to my liking
And from there I tried the Faber Castell
And they became the most beautiful thing in the universe
But I haven't tried them
And I already started to research
And I found some little things
So while we keep testing
I'll keep telling you about these things
What I found
And we'll put them to the test
And well this is very exciting
So join me
Let's see these
Pencils
I know the ideal
would be to try
them all but I
just want to try one
The colors
Primary So to speak
Or the rainbow colors
To see how they loo
Well they're already dry
Something that doesn't really excite me
About watercolor pencils
Is that for example here
They leave some traces
He was reading that
it depends on the
quality of the pencil because Faber
Castell pencils don 't
leave this kind
of mark and it's really strange here
Because here he didn't leave it
Some pigments don't let them
There are two three greens
This one was strange
Well okay I think I'll expand them
soon In some sketches
because I'm not
going to do it exactly as is An
illustration Let's
see how it turns out
I've seen that many people
use it As a
sketch as well So
let's see how
it is Let's go
Let's check And then join me
And well you know that
I don't like to demonize
any material unless it's
really bad and
they say so
They don't know that they don't understand this
Like the gouache of rips
Those I just said
No no here they are actually seeing our faces
Well right now
We're talking about watercolor pencils
From Arteza
I found myself in a dilemma
Because as I've mentioned to you
I'm not really a fan
From the technique of watercolor pencils
But
If I had
As a high expectation
Because The only things I have from art supplies
Are some gouache
And I really like them
I mean the truth is that it was like from
Oh if they work
They are very good
And in fact always
They tell me that when they ask me
I recommend this gouache for beginners
that isn't too expensive
I tell you the art
supplies are good because it's not a very
expensive material and it works very well
Then it's a point
in favor for the
brand So when Ale gave me these
pencils I said let's see how
they are because
in my experience
The first ones
I tried were
Derwent and they turned out
to be somewhat soft because
they left good scratches
About it on paper
And I was reading as I told you at the beginning
That depends
On the quality of the pigment they put on it
They say if they leave those scratches
and the pigment doesn't dissolve then
it's somewhat cheap Well not exactly
cheap but they're
not that professional
And here I was surprised because
there were pigments that if they
were diluted others that weren't
diluted and then it was like meh
I'm going to tell you why I don't like
watercolor pencils and it's because I
think it's a waste
of time especially for
someone like me who's not very skilled
It's like working with pencils that are double the length I have to work them like regular
pencils
Then add some water
Then check if I'm
short or have too much
Then I didn't give the case to my friends
The truth is
And I was watching tutorials
On how to use them
And there were people who said that
Another option was to put them on a separate sheet
Apart from that
Pigmento Osea
like streaking
the page With your little
brush water And from there
you took it To another page
Where you had to paint
And it was like Why do you make all that show
And why don't you just buy some watercolor pencils
Or the other one was
Grab the pigment directly
from the pencil which
also made me think and
isn't it easier
to grab it
Some watercolors
And already in pill form
Well
I suppose like all friends
This is a matter of taste
Personally I just don't like them
But I don't doubt
that there are
people who do enjoy this process
who like these
finishes and honestly
this finish was like a sketch
The truth is I wasn't bothered
if it looked rayoneado or
not it gave it some personality
but I don't think that's it
I like it when I make an
illustration final so I
put it as a color and I'
m confident it will fade
It fades away at the exact time
Personally I
Would get stressed
Well
That's up to each person
Another thing regardless
of my preferences I want to
tell you I
noticed that they
are very glossy very waxed
What that didn't
fascinate me at all
because it was something
I couldn't say was
difficult to outline
because it didn't let
me create a nice line
like very pigmented
I feel the pigment was coming
out once you added the water
And that depends on Then that 's
what I'm telling you It's
like feeling around and the truth
is I To be feeling around no
But anyway that's something I need to
tell you If you end
up buying them one
good thing I noticed
is that they have a
lot of color intensity
Because if we do
Well if I compare
it to watercolors
Student grade
They tend to be very opaque
Or ashes
And back to the same thing again
It's a matter of taste but I did notice
That the pigme
It was very
lively I feel that
For my taste
it was a point Okay
And then the middle
is that well if
it was the middle
then if the color
faded not very well but then
it had to depend a lot on the pigment
The truth is that
the finish I repeat
is good Just as it is already In this case like in
the sketch I liked
it but it's a matter of taste again
Here I was putting on
a pencil
and that's where I really confirmed
that they
let me have a waxed finish
Because the pencil didn't grip well
On the paper
And it was like
Why
He fought a lot because the
pencil was not
getting shorter
There is a type of finish
that I like which is to work
with watercolor and then the
pencil and it looks very nice
That's me
I hardly ever do it but in sketches I like it
A lot and here I said
I'm going to take the opportunity to do it
But well I didn'
Oh he didn't let me because
I tell you it was like I was
throwing away the
pencil but well
that was all what I can tell you
Say something about these little pencils
The truth is it's not that bad
But back to the same thing it's a matter of taste
There will be people who do like it
Some people won't but personally I
tell them I don't like it In general watercolor pencils But anyway
thank you very much for joining me
I hope it was helpful to you
This little video
A bit complaining
But anyway you know you can find me on my
Instagram subscribe to the channel
Like if it was useful Comment
here if you have used this
technique And if
you like it or not
And all of that
I'll see you soon treasures
A hug goodbye
