Hey and welcome back. We're finally out at the garden after a little bit of an unwanted vacation.
Tricia was in the hospital for six days and then two days at home recovering. I think it's been
about nine days since I've been to the garden so I'm expecting to find a few things ready to
be picked. See a cucumber already and as you can see here this was potatoes but I've harvested a
lot of the potatoes already. They had to be harvested they were popping up out of the ground
and I would have had to hail them if I didn't harvest them so I just harvested them and I got
a heck of a harvest. It's all at home in the garage and there's still some potatoes over there
that I have not harvested yet so we'll have to do that one of these days too but pretty wet today
for that. These are squash and they're ready to be picked too. I just saw them as I walked by. Yeah I know
they're these and there's lots of them. Tomorrow if it's wet I was thinking about going to the
farmer's market with some of my produce but I don't know if I'm working or not working so I
can't ever make a decision like that but anyway that's a squash. Holy the pumpkins are looking
good. There's some orange ones here. Oh your big one's turning orange too. There's your pumpkins.
Oh look at these. Oh those are turning orange. Oh wow. Oh wow. Put your hand next to it. Oh yeah.
Oh there's a whole bunch on this one. Cool. Oh wow that's looking good. It's a nice one hey? It is.
Didn't rot or anything. Nothing. The corn's starting to make. The corn's behind you. Let's
have a look at it while we're here. Oh holy ---- that's a ready to eat one that cub.
Oh yeah the corn has corn. Yeah. Cool. Holy ----. There's corn. There's more over there too.
I'm gonna check cut one of these squash open to see what they're like. Oh that is nice.
Look at that. Clean healthy flesh. Awesome. Not a bad looking carrot. That one's good.
Oh no that's a good onion. We'll probably end up pulling the onions today too. Got a big day ahead
of us here today. Just thought we'd give you a quick look before we get at her. Over here's
some more corn. We'll go check it out. Here's some big yellow onions. Yellow beans galore.
Yeah looks like looks like we got a second crop. Looks like there's some
some lettuce too. Yeah look at this. Good healthy corn. Some of these stocks have three or four
crops. What I thought was going to be a pumpkin crop is kind of a squash crop more than anything.
Unfortunately there's some sort of a mix up with my bulk seeds.
Anyway here's some squash. Delicata squash. Actually everybody that's been eating these
squash say they really like them so maybe it's not such a horrible thing. This is pumpkins.
You can see they're just starting to kind of develop. More squash on your left.
Oh there's a little pumpkin. Oh cute. Holy what is that?
Something else kind of squash or something.
Looks like zucchini or something. Crazy. Big cucumbers. Here's the biggest pumpkin we have.
How many more of those do you have? Not sure.
Gotta figure out how to haul all this stuff to the truck.
Wow. All right here we are with today's harvest and I already took a bag of onions and a five
gallon pail of cucumbers to the truck so on top of that we got these nice little pumpkins. They're
eating pumpkins. They're cute. I like them. Squash. Zucchini. Pickling cucumbers. Pretty
good haul of green tomatoes. That'll turn red yet. Some of them are starting to turn red already.
And a pretty good bucket full of carrots. Squash. Purple turnips. Pretty good haul.
Decent garden. 2016. It's August the 26th or 25th today. 26. So yeah whatever. Towards the
end of August anyway. And there it is. Can you believe you grew all that?
What's in the bags?
They just keep coming and coming. Oh there's a baby one. Here's some potatoes
that Chris got before. Just a few. This one's really quite big.
Now it's time to unload all this. Potatoes. Got red, brown, purple, and Yukon gold. Four different
varieties. Here we got a few different varieties of squash. I don't even know what they all are.
They're just miscellaneous varieties of summer squash. And so far they're all really good eating.
Good feedback. People seem to like them. And here we got a couple pumpkins.
This is a eating pumpkin. Not a jack-o'-lantern obviously. It's of the
edible variety. Really good for pumpkin pie and other pumpkin recipes. Here I got a box of green
tomatoes. They should turn red. Some of them are starting to turn red already. I don't think it'll
be too long and there'll be a nice red tomato for us to eat. Here we got another variety of summer
squash. Tender. Good eating. And there's a few twins. There's a few that are doubled up there.
There's one down here too. Stuck together anyway at birth. Conjoined twins. Here we got a milk
crate full of nice carrots. As you can see the color on those. Two different kinds of cucumbers.
Over here we got the small pickling cukes. And over there we got the larger slicers.
Good quality cucumbers anyway. Yeah so that kind of sums up today's harvest. Oh
I forgot to mention the purple white tops. Turnips.
Squash that I grew. Nice size. And then we got a few little eating pumpkins again.
Nice little nice little pumpkins. That's another pumpkin that I harvested from the farm.
It's actually turning orange real nice. I just leave it here in the sun and it seems to be good.
And here's today's onion harvest. I'm just drying these out for a few days in the sun and then
they'll be good to store for the winter. Good quality onions. I've ate a few already and
they're delicious. Anyone know what kind of mushrooms these are? They're about yay big.
And yeah I don't know anything about mushrooms but they're growing in a few spots out here.
Here's more of those mushrooms. I think I'll let you all go. Thanks for watching. If you have any
comments please post them below. If you haven't already subscribed to my channel
