Late Summer/Autumn Colour || Extending Flowering Season

There’s still time to add more colour to the garden by planting some late Summer/Autumn flowering perennials so today I am planting two beautiful new plants. First is an Echinacea variety called ‘Delicious Candy’ which is a beautiful deep strawberry red colour which flowers from June right through the Autumn, will die back at the end of the season and regrow again next year. The second plant is a lovely Phlox called ‘Famous Purple’ which will also continue flowering until the first frosts, die back and regrow again next Spring. And then one more job I have been wanting to do is remove my Sweet Peas which I have not had very much success with in the garden this year. I have had the grand total of 4 flowers!! But I refuse to call anything a failure ... things are only a failure if you don’t learn from them! Onwards and upwards, and I will consider growing something different in my obelisk next year. It’s good to have been able to plant some things in between all the rain.
